PLEASE DO NOT PUBLISH SPOILERS HERE IN THIS THREAD.
Just finished reading HP and the Deathly Hallows last night after receiving it in the mail yesterday morning.
I thought it was an excellent book and enjoyed it throughly. If you have not read it yet, DO! If you have not bought it yet, it is worth the money.
I am asking you all to not put any spoilers on this thread, just tell folks if you liked the book or not. We can always start a different thread to discuss the book if you like, but this is mainly for those who were trying to decide if it was worth the time or money to pick up a copy and read it.

Record-breaking 1st printing!
You're ahead of me, tali! I just bought our copy yesterday (and I'll have to wait for my daughter, if not my son, too, to finish first).
I'm expecting a grand finale--15 million copies for a first printing broke all records worldwide, I understand!
Also, my daughter and I have agreed as to how this book MUST end, so I don't want to hear from any spoilers yet, either.
Read it. Loved

Listening to the audio book version now.

The best in the series! My oldest son finished it on Saturday night after getting it at midnight Friday, my husband finished it on Sunday afternoon and I finished it Sunday night. My daughter is halfway through and our youngest is just now starting to tackle the first one on his own (he's in second grade and prefers the movies at this point.) It was incredibly emotional on a lot of levels, but mainly because it is the last one. It was the first time my kids did not make fun of me for crying over a book!
Great book
I had to read it in one sitting because I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next! Am now re-reading to see what I missed.
Great ending to the Harry Potter story - I will really miss these characters' adventures!

I am half way through and I already think it is probably the best. I love the way the stories have matured along with the characters.

Before this one, we were never the family to rush out and buy it right away. We even waited for paperback on the first three or four. This time the wife and the older son were in line at midnight. He's grown up on Harry, as grown up as an eight year old can be. We read the first two or three to him not too many years ago, and he partly learned to read with Harry. We're now on book two with our four year old, and the boys were caught pretending to be Harry and Ron with wands made out of Tinkertoys.
I was not let down at all by number seven. If anything, I wish I'd read it a little slower, let it last a little longer. I can't start it again till my wife reads it as soon as she finishes what she's reading now. In the time she does that, eight year old will have completely read through the first six books again and will be waiting for number seven somehow in line before me.

Just finished. I'm a slow reader and had many friends who were wondering why their interruptions made me so cranky.
It's another great read. I'm glad these books made Rowling richer than the queen.
