Bump for tonight's show detailed here. This was loads of fun last year and it started with a great meetup at the Downtown Brewery.

Don't know if I can make it much earlier than the show, but if others want to meet up again I will try to join.

We were thinking about going, but doesn't look like we will make it.

It was fun last year, I highly recommend it.

Y'all have fun, and keep out of trouble!

Sorry you can't make it

Seems like it was at 8 last year. Getting to dinner/drinks and then getting in by 7:30 would be a little tough for some of us.

Downtown

The City was hoppin last night.
Dylan gig was cool.
Sundown was hot.
The Tennessee was lit up.

Yes, it was another good one. Much was just like last year's, as if it was Act II of the same event. A little less magic, though, and some of the music was not quite as... inspiring(?). Still a big success. Just before I left, around 10, at least the second replacement beer run of multiple cases had arrived. I wonder when it ended.

P.S.

I think they're showing the Thompson films again tonight at ETHS. I could be wrong about the date. It was well worth seeing the first time, a few months ago.

Yes, I need to bump the previous post about it...

P.P.S. A highlight

One highlight for me: Phil Pollard essentially doing just a wild drum solo while he sang/recited "Tombstone Blues" (I think it was). Our own CAFKIA then took the mike to proclaim "Phil's not right! He's good, but he's not right!"

That was one of the best moments...

Also that harmonica player...MIke? Was on fire. What a talented guy!

A Good Night

The last song performed was done by Garage Deluxe with Maggie, Steve, Steve's kid, Sara and others sitting in. It was wild, inspiring and great. It was worth holding out to the end for.

The Bobby Darin skit with Sara went well. I'm told we sold it pretty good.

All in all, I had a blast and several others said they did as well. The room was packed early on.

For one last MC blurb, the local library (Larry Frank, Nelda Hill, Mary Pom Claiborne), WDVX, and Broadway Sound all deserve your support/business for sponsoring a Knoxville signature event.
