From a ridiculous GOP fundraiser email:

It doesn't matter who Democrats choose as their presidential nominee. Obama and Hillary are both out of touch with middle-class families in America.

There is too much at stake in this campaign to fall behind now. The future of our economy, our quality of life and our national security all depend on the outcome of the 2008 elections.

Unless we defeat them, the radical liberal Democrats will continue to raise your taxes, give amnesty to illegal immigrants, initiate a government takeover of health care, roll-back welfare reform, and push for passage of their entire special interest dictated laundry list of left-wing programs.

Wow. How many lies can they pack in one sentence? It would be funny if it weren't for the fact that this, turned up to 11 then squared, is what we're in for come October.

Well, I agree with the second paragraph.

How many lies?

raise your taxes,

I've heard both Obama and Hillary promise to roll back the Bush proposed tax cuts, which certainly counts as raising taxes. I'm not saying the tax cuts shouldn't be rolled back, but it would be disingenuous to call it a lie.

give amnesty to illegal immigrants

Most Democrats seem supportive of amnesty for illegal immigrants, and both Obama and Clinton have been actively courting the hispanic vote by implying if not promising amnesty. The only thing in that statement a progressive Democrat would take exception to is the use of the phrase "illegal immigrants" rather than "migrant workers." That both W and McCain also support amnesty doesn't make it a lie.

initiate a government takeover of health care

Hyperbolic, but both Obama and Clinton have made overhauling health care a key component of their agenda. "Government takeover" may accurately reflect those who, like me, prefer a single payer system, but it doesn't accurately reflect either Obama's or Clinton's proposals... I'll very generously call it a half truth since it accurately reflects progressive thought but not either candidate's actual proosal.

roll-back welfare reform

I haven't heard anything about either candidate pushing this one. Not sure what the GOP'ers are referring to at all here. That's one to chalk up to a lie.

push for passage of their entire special interest dictated laundry list of left-wing programs

Of course they will do that... as opposed to pushing for passage of their entire special interest dictated launtry list of right-wing programs.

Total count: 1.5 lies.

I love GOP memos....

This makes it all so easy.

As long as we accomplish everything that memo expresses fear over, we'll be on track to making America all it should be.

I got 2.5 lies and loads of characteristic fear:

1)"Obama and Hillary are both out of touch with middle-class families in America".

Well, Hillary is anyway. She's as big a corporate whore as any Repig.

2)"The future of our economy, our quality of life and our national security all depend on the outcome of the 2008 elections."

Semi-lie. It does, but it also depends on the outcome of the Dem primary first. Hillary and McCockroach are two peas in a pod.

"Unless we defeat them, the radical liberal Democrats will continue to raise your taxes, give amnesty to illegal immigrants, initiate a government takeover of health care, roll-back welfare reform, and push for passage of their entire special interest dictated laundry list of left-wing programs".

Sounds like real progress to me. No wonder the GOP is pissing down both legs. Liberals just might come up with enough money to keep bridges from falling down, keep families together, make Americans healthier, and God forbid, treat Lazarus the way Jesus told us to.

Conservanoids see money leaving their pockets, Liberals see people being helped. That's why we're the real Americans and they're...well, a lower quality, unlicensed reproduction.
Made in China, of course. ;)

Roll back the Bush proposed

Roll back the Bush proposed tax cut and roll back welfare reform is the same thing in my book.

Good point

Corporate welfare and welfare for the wealthy from the Repubs is killing our country. We could provide assistance for years on what we spend in one year on one single Repug welfare recipient. Middle class my ...eye!

Dems worse

You can also read the lies in the Democrat flyers, that the lies are just as bad.

I do believe we are doomed if either of those two idiots get in. I not sure that even if McCain gets in, it's going to be any better.

We need to find some real great leaders, in both parties, and drop these very weak, mindless jerks that have been showing up.

It's pointless

Dude, don't even bother. These folks will do nothing but make fun of anything you say and insult you personally in lieu of honest debate. Just, just don't even bother.
