Glenn Reynolds notes here that "Joe the Plumber" will "be reporting from Israel" by linking to a story in the International Herald Tribune.
Why would Reynolds, the "supervising executive editor" of Pajamas Media, not just admit that his own organization just hired Joe the Plumber, rather than linking to an IHT story that sources the NBC affiliate in Toledo?
Glenn Reynolds just hired Joe the Plumber and can't bring himself to admit it.
I'd be embarrassed, too.

This was just now covered on NPR. If you were playing a drinking game on the word "real" you'd be pretty tipsy by the end of the short piece. The funniest thing is that there's nothing real about "Joe," or the spectacle he brings.

This Reynolds guy is a worse embarrassment to UT than the university's last 3 presidents. Imagine if some prof were as far to the left as this idiot is to the right and spent his days blogging about world affairs. Tenured or not, he'd be out on his arse in minutes.
Good point
You know, I never thought of that.
Liberal professors regular get excoriated by the right, but yet, one of the most prominent conservative bloggers is a professor.

Reminds me of a video that a coalition of Jewish Democrats did in 2004.
Am older Jewish woman is at the beach, bragging about her two sons. One, she says, has seen all fifty states. (The video shows he's in a biker gang.)
The other, she says, is a big Hollywood star. (The video makes it clear he makes "naughty movies.")
One of the two women she's bragging to whispers, "I thought she had three sons!"
The second whispers back, "She does. The other one is a Republican!"

Is this guy for real?
Not just wrong-headed...
But I believe that attitude is a sin.
When the Devil tempted Christ, one of the things he suggested was that Jesus throw himself from the highest point of the Temple, because Scriptures said the angels would protect him.
Jesus responded, in Matthew 4:7,
Now, I suppose you could counter-argue there's a difference between simply going into a risky situation and intentionally jumping off a tall building, but I think the real point of the story is "don't do something stupid under the assumption God will watch out for you."
