Pretty good deal. Get a
Pretty good deal. Get a whole bunch of responsibility and work reassigned, keep your job at the same salary and perks... what's not to like?
Why can't we get rid of crooks in government?
These people need to go away. What is she going to do for $135,000 a year? Shuffle more papers and put more money in friends and families pockets? Where is law enforcement and the TBI when you really, really need them?
...and you get to keep the
...and you get to keep the contacts in the non-profit world if you ever need to seek employment there.
Arms, Ragsdale and Finch are Crooks
Clearly, the decision for Finch to resign control of the grant program was not her own. We've seen this move from Team Ragsdale before.
You can look at this in two ways.
1. Team Ragsdale is on the defensive and are taking steps to disarm critics while attempting to now do the right thing by moving Finch out. Their strategy here is to slowly move her away from the spotlight, then find her a good paying job somewhere else and push her out. She comes out clean and doesn't do a tell-all about Ragsdale and Arms with the media like Harber, Werner, and Lloyd did.
2. Team Ragsdale believes they're in the right and think there is more benefit to keeping thier hands in the non-profits across town than cleaning up their own house. Remember, in the minds of Ragsdale and Arms, they are still prepping the political environment to run for statewide office.

Tell me: is this the first chapter in an old theme redone? ("Riches to Rags" ?)
From Finch's statement in
From Finch's statement in the KNS:
I am a person who wants to help those less fortunate, the poor, the sick and the under privileged.
...and related to my family, church and groups I'm affiliated with.
Geez, did they have a violin playing when she made this statement. I guess I've just seen too much to believe this sort of stuff. Maybe I'm too cynical when it comes to the County Mayor's office. At least two people were fired for less than Finch's transgressions, yet she gets less work and the same pay.
It doesn't appear that beyond the County Mayor that her future is in government (including the Governor's office). So, better make all the contacts you can before her gig is up in 2010.

Says she will take over the "end homelessness in ten years" program...
I thought that was Jon Lawler's job?
The homeless won't have a chance once CF starts meddling in the program.
Quick question: Since Finch
Quick question:
Since Finch is not going to do what she was doing, who is? Wouldn't that person also be in the same office as Finch? Co-worker, subordinate, who? To say she will have no say anymore is a farce.
Oh, and to do less work, you get the same salary???
This is a soap opera and a bad one at that. Sad thing is, it is us taxpayers who are getting the shaft on this.
Shaft - Finch
It would have been nice to have only recevied the shaft... but Finch drove it up and broke it off in the citizens of Knox Countys a**... and the sad thing is we did not even get kissed!!!
I want my tax dollars back!!!
