Republican Senator Elizabeth Dole, North Carolina, must apologize! She has accused Democrats of being "content with losing" the Iraq war. What does she think of all those Democrat soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan? Does she think they are doing nothing in the war effort? Does she think they are sabotaging the war effort?

This is outrageous!

It is a Republican administration running this war. If it is being lost, it is their fault. Why can this administration not take responsibility for anything?

She's Right

I agree 100% with Ms Dole. You have to remember that those Democrat soldiers are conservative....(liberals to right for their rights they have)

There's a big difference between them (those in Iraq) and the big big big jerks from the left in the Democratic party (the Nancy's, Harry's and like)

Those soldiers over there are risking and loosing their live for these jerks to have the right to be jerks....sad.....real sad.

Big, big, big Jerk...

GBA,

I just checked and by a 2 to 1 margine, Americans think this war is totally screwed up and want us to wind it up and come home...And more than that think there is actually no connection whatsoever between the Iraq war and our freedom... at least in any manner that affects freedom in a positive way.

Give it up! Come into the light and help us save your country.

Let's talk Wednesday

WhitesCreek, the only light you're going to see is the one just before the terrorist kill you.

I am 100% against the war, that doesn't mean I want to leave and loose. We must finish off the terrorist and that's a long time away.

The Democrats, even if they get the House, will NOT stop funding the war. Their balls aren't that big. They just want to the power to steal our money, rather than letting the Republicans get it. It's all about money and power.

No one will ever win this bet, but I would bet you that if the President were to be a Democrat and the House and Senate were to be Democrats, we still would stay in Iraq.

Once the Democrats are getting the money in their pockets, they could care less.

Tomorrow I think that the vote is really going to be for the Republicans. The Republicans may even pick up a seat or two.

We'll see. Let's talk Wednesday.

You're 100% against making sense. It's not your fault, though; I blame the testosterone.

There is no way that the "war on terror" will ever be won. You kill one, two more spring up. It is a never ending conflict as long as you are shooting at each other.

There IS a way to end terrorism, but it is not one that swaggering cowboys will understand or be capable of carrying out. It is called diplomacy and NOT LETTING THE TERRORISTS MAKE YOU AFRAID TO LIVE YOUR LIFE.

We are ALL going to die. No one gets out of life alive! But your chances of being killed by a terrorist are abysmally low compared to your chances of being hit by lightning or run over by a city bus. When you became afraid that the terrorists were going to kill you personally, the terrorists won their war and you lost.

When the United States of America and it's citizens allowed one horrible day to change our Constitution and the tenor of our public policies and discourse, the terrorists won.

The "war on terror" was over the day that our own Congress did away with the writ of habeas corpus and the rule of law that had served us so very well for over 200 years. And we, the people, were the biggest losers of all.

You're on target, talidapali. Judging by the first line of GBA's Let's Talk Wednesday comment, The reason Republicans vote the way they do is because they are scared out of their minds of terrorist, and what makes this so ironic, the Republican Political Machine is the group who's instilling this into their heads, not the terrorist. So in my mind we need to vote Democrats back into control of the House and Senate so we can again re-take control of our country; yes, take control from terrorist who are not even on our soil. So be brave Republicans, vote a Democratic ticket tomorrow.

That wouldn't mean you're right about squat.  It would just mean that more people are stupid, brainwashed, or disengaged totally from reality or politics.  And we have a rigged election system, with e-voting machines that are known to be unreliable and susceptible to fraud via hacking, and congressional districts that are drawn to favor the GOP contrary to the electorate.

When will you people learn just that truth and objectivity are not determined by a popularity contest?!

The majority of the people you consider terrorist, were not terrorist before we started the Iraqi war.

Bush's unclear strategy

Mr. Bush repeatedly claims that if we give up in Iraq, the terrorists will follow us home. Where will they go if we run them out of Iraq?

Right now I am listening to Mitch McConnell (husband of the Secretary of Labor for the People's Republic of China) talking to Rush Limbaugh on the radio. He is stressing the idea that Democrats don't want our government listening to phone calls from terrorists outside our country and that we don't routinely monitor phone calls. Funny thing, Rush never asked him how he knows they are calling.
