Saw an ad in the local paper for a Vacation Bible School, featuring a fun "Dino Detectives: Digging for God's Truth" activity. The logo was pretty slick, so I figured it was some kind of commercial program. Indeed, it's produced by Regular Baptist Press and they have a website where you can buy this program and others.
This one teaches kids about creation, and answers the question "What happened to the dinosaurs?" (Answer: God sent a worldwide flood but kept Noah and his family safe in the ark. The world changed as a result of the worldwide flood.)
There's more science: Animals also have babies of their own kind. A baby hippopotamus grows up to be a big hippo. A kitten will grow up to be a cat. Will a kitten ever grow up to be a hippopotamus or an elephant? What will a baby monkey grow up to be? Will a monkey ever grow up to be a person. NO. The Bible tells us that God told animals to reproduce after their own kind."
There are fun motions and verses and chants that go along with the lessons to reinforce what kids learn. Sounds like way too much fun.

snacks
The program material is bad enough, but to top it off, apparently the kids will be supplied with large rawhide bones for "lip-smacking" snacks. Check the video.
One thing I've noticed
Is that folks who don't accept Darwinian theory can not possibly describe any of its tenets. Creationists merely lie. It takes a lot of work to study ignorance this hard.
Jesus rode dinosaurs
(link...)
Well...that explains why the Romans were so afraid of Jesus...
It was that darn velociraptor he rode into Jerusalem...funny how the writers of the four Gospels of Jesus Christ got all confused and thought it was a donkey instead...

Yes, and Fred Flintsone is also scientific proof that men walked with dinosaurs.

And Scooby Doo proved there are no ghosts, so we have a holy contradiction.

There.
Fixed that for you.

No, it's not a tautology, it's "science"!
God forbid our kids be taught Intelligent Design/Creationism!
I mean, when you've got mountains of hard evidence supporting the theory that First Life originated from aliens flying their rocket ships to Earth in order to deposit spores which turned into humans (Panspermia), or the proven theory that something created nothing (Big Bang theory), how can you NOT be convinced?
This stuff about "God" is simply ludicrous! I mean, you have to be pretty ignorant to NOT believe that water dripped onto a rock for a billion years, turned into a living cell, the cell turned into a fish, the fish grew feet, walked up onto land, and turned into a bear, the bear fell backwards into the water again, started swimming and turned into a whale! See, it’s not “blind faith,” it’s “science”!
Where?
Where did anyone say there's no God?
Do you believe that God and science cannot coexist?
If so, then may I recommend you abandon all the creature comforts that science provides?
God is about "faith" which means we cannot validate His existence through the scientific process. God is about spiritual matters. Don't get it mixed up.
If not for science, you might not be alive today, would live in a cave and live like a dittohead, and certainly would not be able to post to this blog so give it up troll.

Not much really intelligent about your design
Science deniers are astounding in their ignorance, exceeded only by their willingness to lie about what science has discovered so far...All to protect some anachronistic version of a religion.
Most versions of Christianity seem to accept the scientific method, oddly enough. It is only the ones that start to destroy the ability to think for one's self, question things, and search for truth early in life that seem to have a problem with a fact based existance.
"It's Magic!" is not really a good way to look at the world and learn its many beautiful lessons.
Wow, talk about denying science!
Uh-oh, Whitescreek, looks like somebody's upset.
Um, could it be I've touched a nerve by summing up your crackpot blind-faith religious beliefs so succinctly?
Worst of all, you consider yourself "scientifically-enlightened" simply because you live in an age of scientific enlightenment!

That is the sort of flagrant dishonesty that renders creationists unworthy of a place in any classroom.

Metulj, can I conclude that
Metulj, can I conclude that you're an atheist?
One more time
Believing in the scientific process does not exclude a belief in God.
The two are NOT mutually exclusive.
Believing in God does not exclude a belief in the scientific process.
If you think it does then please abandon all creature comforts you currently enjoy due to your belief in God.
That includes electricity and the computer so I suppose we'll not be seeing ID troll posting here again?

Enlightenment
Where did anyone say there's no God?
Er, where did I say science was wrong? I am saying your particular religious belief system is a misinterpretation of what the science actually shows.
Do you believe that God and science cannot coexist?
Of course not. In fact, scientific discoveries and our knowledge of science merely serve to point to the Creator of those laws of science!
God is about "faith" which means we cannot validate His existence through the scientific process.
Um, not really. Fortunately, it takes very little "faith" to believe in the God of the Christians. Contrary to the biblically-illiterate opinion, the Christian faith is historical and evidential, it's NEVER a blind faith as is the religion of Darwinism. Also, I should point out that you're incorrectly assuming science is an appropriate means of proving or disproving God's existence. This shows you're not only biblically-illiterate, but you know very little about science and its application, as well. The scientific method can only appropriately be applied to prove or disprove repeatable, observable scientific experiments from which data can be drawn. MANY, if not MOST things cannot be proven scientifically. For example, please prove to me scientifically that Martin Luther King, Jr. was a civil rights activist. What? You can't. Er, okay, then please prove to me scientifically that Napoleon was French. Still nothing? Okay, here's an easy one: please scientifically prove to me that George Washington was the first U.S. president. That should be easy, right? I mean, we all know that's true...so why don't you prove it scientifically? Since you can't prove it scientifically, does that mean George Washington's presidency is -as you put it- "about faith"?
God is about spiritual matters. Don't get it mixed up.
Hmm, someone's mixed up, but it isn't me, I'm afraid.
If not for science, you might not be alive today, would live in a cave and live like a dittohead, and certainly would not be able to post to this blog so give it up troll.
This is a very stupid comment. But I should expect it from someone whose hero was an overrated, homophobic, misogynistic drunk who blew his brains out like the coward he was.

Clearly you understand the distinction between science and history, yet you still criticize evolution on historical grounds rather than addressing the science.
