My sources tell me that the Truth Squat scooped everybody in town on the story about Scott Moore not having a real estate license.
TS turned its gimlet eye on the NS story about the $144K Payment to Moore that identified Moore as a real estate agent involved in finding the property for the SHE Group.
TS, of course, caught this mistake and pointed out that Moore has never had a real estate license, my sources tell me.
Within a few hours, WBIR was reporting the same thing (probably read it on the TS).
Sadly, TS, not being one to toot its own horn, took the story down pdq and will probably never be properly credited for this bombshell.
(Cue the 'Real Men of Genius' voiceover....)

Did SHE Slip Moore, Hutchison, Mickey Finns?
Known associates of "seductive siren of speculation" claim they can't remember, don't know her
From APB reports. KNOXVILLE - A practitioner of the world's second-oldest profession - sales and marketing - may have used a knockout drug on prominent members of the Knox County community to make them forget their dealings with her. Among the list of her possible victims are ex-chair of the Knox County Commission, Scott "Scoobie" Moore, ex-county sheriff and current county mayor candidate, Tim Hutchison, and other members of the local business community.
Investigators say these individuals may have been unwittingly lured into the lair of the shadowy figure known only as "SHE" with the promise of lucrative business arrangements. SHE may have then slipped them a substance - possibly chloral hydrate, the original "Mickey Finn" - to knock them out and blur their memory of the proceedings. Apparently, SHE uses legitimate businesses, including an auto company, as lures for her more dubious activities.
As one victim who wished to remain anonymous put it, "I thought I was getting in on the ground floor of a great opportunity in a car dealership operation, you know? SHE certainly looked like a fast ride - a real hot chassis of a portfolio, if you know what I mean? - so I whipped out my checkbook to get a piece of that action. But SHE suggested a drink to seal the deal. That's all I remember. The next thing I know, I'm in some Tijuana fleabag with the mother of all headaches, a naked checking account and a pocketful of regret. I never saw her again..."
Perhaps these people should
Perhaps these people should be congratulated.
After all, six years ago in a story in the Knoxville News-Sentinel titled Hutchison Land Deals Raise Conflict Questions (March 7, 2004), Scott Barker and Laura Ayo were reporting that Hutchison and others were only using abbreviations like RMCH Developers, KRH Properties, and HTJ Properties as the names for their business.
Now at least they've started using acronyms.

"Truth Squat" ???
OK, maybe I'm getting a little slow out here (it's in the water) but ... is "Truth Squat" some type of code word (phrase) for Brian Hornback and his 'Truth Squad'? He posted a juveniley coy post on his blog recently about some evil person saying he had deleted something but he really hadn't dleted it since it was discoverable if he had deleted it ...
anyway, you'll clear up a lot for me if you'd clear up that "Truth Squat" thing for me. Thanks!
Take Care, Be Good and don't play in the street!
