Boosters

Does anyone know the wait required in between bivalant boosters. I'm working on the assumption that we're going once every sixth month. Is that correct?

Medical advice

What about colonoscopies? Does anyone know how often they should be performed? And how frequently do I need a tetanus shot if I haven’t stepped on a rusty nail recently?

Hah! You do know the answers,

Hah!

You do know the answers, don't you? Or, do you never go to the doctor?

Just trying to make fun of people that get vaccines?

Don't think there is not yet a schedule for future covid vaccines/boosters but maybe someone has different information. Maybe like flu vaccines, in the fall?

Will there be a recession? Will the house reduce Social Security and Medicare? Should I buy Bed Bath Beyond?

Yes, no and no, no

(For Moon)

Five years for a colonoscopy, unless your doctor finds an abnormality in your last one. Every five years on a tetanus shot.

When the bivalent vaccine was introduced last summer, it was recommended that one's booster period was lowered from 6 months to 4 for getting that particular booster (a two month difference). I am now approaching the five month mark, still covid free I might add. This stuff works if you do it.

But, the new waiting period between boosters hasn't been publicized real well. I'm right at 5 months. Hence, the question since I'll be by the drug store in the next few days.

You'd think as a trained and certified economist specializing in public health you'd know this sort of stuff.

Advice

A local message board seems a strange place to seek medical advice.

Not really

Biz is as accurate and up to date on public covid information dissemination as any source in Knoxville. And this isn't a message board. This is a local news site that has scooped all the other media outlets in town, on occasion. This is a far more reliable news source than either FOX or Newsmax, two sources highly regarded by local right wingers. It's no big deal. I can call my doctor, sit on hold and jam up a line for a half hour and get an answer. Or spend twenty minutes sifting through ads on google looking for a reliable source. I was here and the topic was at hand.

More dead children

We have lost another child to covid. What is it called when a political leader launches an attack against his own community , killing innocent citizens, purely for political gain again? How many children is Glenn Jacobs willing to kill in pursuit of power? The hospitals are severely understaffed, we have a shortage of doctors and support staff for medical facilities and the county is in default on the ambulance agreement, leaving our emergency services totally dependent on the goodwill of AMR to even function. Explain to me again how disbanding the Board of Health is not a terrorist act. Explain it real slow, like my step-dad never taught me anything about how terrorism works. Explain it from the definition. Explain why his cult is supporting him in his efforts.

Bivalent Booster

I asked my doctor this morning and the current recommendation is every year for the omicron bivalent booster. Keep listening as both covid and the defense against it is likely to evolve. It appears to be going after children in Knox County, infections up by 56% and only a 37% vaccination rate. Who would have thought we would get Knox County parents to accept a lottery to determine which children live, and which ones die? Vaccinate your children. Please don't offer them up as a live human sacrifice to a political cult.
