Enjoy free food, music and fun at the Knox County first district democrats picnic. Learn to use the new voting machines, meet the first district commission candidates and county-wide candidates and register to vote. The festivities will be from 4-7p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Five Points Plaza (the intersection of Spruce, Ben Hur , McCalla, and Martin Luther King streets). The new Knox County clerks office in Five Points Plaza will be open for early voting. This site will replace the Love Kitchen which is next door. The first district spans from Lonsdale to Holston Hills all are invited to attend.
This is the location of the new grocery store that is closest to downtown and while any and all residents of Knox county are invited and welcome, downtown residents are specifically encouraged to come out to this event.   It should be a good time and hopefully we'll learn something positive about a democrat candidate or ten.
