And I happen to agree with this response. Seriously, it ain't all that complex:
Why did Julian Assange found Wikileaks? To get laid. Fuckin Albino went all over the world, banging liberal "activist" types who thought he was amazing. Cocktail parties, receptions, "panels" . . . you name it . . . he was tagging bitches behind the lectern . . . no condom.
Old man Betrayus . . .

Well, that's an ignoble end
Well, that's an ignoble end to a significant career. I think he was on a lot of peoples' lists for 2016.
Having an affair while in charge of the CIA is a bigger deal than making that mistake while holding some other job.
Affairs
Having an affair while in charge of the CIA is a bigger deal than making that mistake while holding some other job.
While i generally agree with that statement, I would tend to question whether or not this was a national security issue or a personal integrity issue until I saw a whole lot of details that I'm not even sure the folks covering this story will deem relevant.
For instance, "What was Broadwells Q clearance? What was the tone of her overall writings? What were her other social endeavors, etc." Sordid details sell papers and that's what I expect will be covered.

See how that works DeJairlas?
See how that works DeJarlias? See how it's done Vitter? Time to "man up" and get out of public office because IOKIYAR won't always continue to work.
IF...
If we weren't so hung up about having to remain monogamous in a relationship, this wouldn't be such a big deal. Humans aren't generally monogamous creatures.
Question, by having an adulterous affair did that lessen his ability to get his job done?
In a perfect world you would
In a perfect world you would have a valid point but that is not where we live. Adultery for a sensitive position creates potential for blackmail in our society and is thus an unacceptable security risk. That is how it works when you are security cleared today.
My Point Exactly
If we weren't so hung up about monogamy, it would not be a hinky situation -- there would be no leverage. Being hung up on monogamy creates the leverage.

Very curious.

Haters gotta hate, spinners gotta spin...
Any story depending on an expert who says, "I could be totally wrong, this is my interpretation -- is that the administration was unhappy with Petraeus not playing ball 100% on their party-line story" needs to be taken with more than a pinch of salt.
Somebody (probably Petraeus himself) sat on this info until after the election. For obvious reasons.
And resignation notwithstanding, there's no reason the general can't be called to testify at a congressional hearing.
Not saying it was a bungled
Not saying it was a bungled burglary at a downtown DC hotel by some plumbers. But it is curious that the Secretary of State and a prominent General both step down within three days for odd reasons.
Hillary has stepped down? How
Hillary has stepped down? How did I miss that?
Time will tell what is what.
Time will tell what is what. But it looks like those at the top have reasons to be mum. Let's see how the Chicago method works at the national scale. The press has no reason to protect a lame duck. At the end of the day it is about selling papers.
They will turn on him for profit. It is only a matter of time.

She hasn't. But plans for her to transition out have been rumored since at least September.
I believe she has even said...

Yes, she has said that. My point is she hasn't done it yet. Has she?
No. She has not resigned
No. She has not resigned yet. And I don't expect her to until after the inauguration, if then.
Yeah, I've heard nothing
Yeah, I've heard nothing about her resignation.
She will. She's ready.
She will. She's ready.
She's been saying it for
She's been saying it for longer than that. Maybe as long as the beginning of the year. There's nothing at all new or fishy about it. She wants a slower pace---nd she's made it very clear she's ready to be a grandmother.

She hasn't. But plans for her
Yes, everybody knows that. But no word on when, and yesterday, signals were sent that she may not do it, or not until much later. In any case, it's assuming facts not in evidence to put a date to her resignation.

The picture emerging of Broadwell isn't pretty. Looks like she brought this crapstorm herownself:
