We were late getting downtown for the parade and missed the bands and most of the floats but did see Santa. Downtown was packed with kids of all ages along the Gay Street parade route.

Then we wandered over to Market Square for the JulieApple launch party.

Along the way ran in to Andie Ray and stopped by Vagabondia for a visit where we ran in to Hayduke, Art C. and DnB. Then we stopped by Bliss Home where we were tempted by a Best "Maravu" (I believe) accent chair and said hi to proprietor Scott Schimmel. Then we went over to Bliss and the Mrs. found the perfect contemporary Menorah she's been looking for.

Finally we landed at KnoxiVi for the JulieApple handbag line launch party. Hosts Metulj and the lovely Mrs. JulieApple put on a great party with hors d'oeuvres, wine, and special Tennessee Manhattans made with Jack Daniels and triple sec. Rikki Hall was there, and Saul Young, among others. The turnout was great and the party was just cranking up when we left about 10PM because it was way past our bedtime.

What a wonderful evening.

What a wonderful evening. Thanks to everyone for their hospitality, conversation and entertainment.

The brass band on the mall was great. A special thanks to AAA Tennessee for sponsoring the Santa float (I know people who have worked there for many years and they are good people).

Missed you

Cool, we were at the parade, Vagabondia (Laura owed me a signed copy of her poems) and Knoxivi. Don't know what you looked like so may have been at the same time. Beautiful bags. That was a mean manhatten too.
