With important elections coming up, we encourage everyone to check your voter registration status.

Every state has legal purges based on voting history and other stuff. But red Southern states have been more aggressive. (See: Texas.) Their decisions can be wrong, and you can appeal.

If there's any doubt, check with your local county election commission. They are the ones who ultimately decide if you will be allowed to vote by mail, in early voting, or at the polls on election day.
