That reminded me about the
That reminded me about the lawsuit against Moore and Pinkston that was postponed right before the appointments. Any news on that?

This topic was hijacked with the first post.
Does anybody really think this story is about Randy Hinton and Kenny Lane? Scoobie likes them just fine, but their business partner the one who pulls Scoobie's string - and makes ths story interesting.
What recently-retired political figure has been buying car dealerships and running them into the ground?
That lawsuit is with
one Herbert Monceir. If he were able to get a judge or jury to see it his way, at a local or state jurisdiction. He couldn't represent it on appeal because it eventually winds up in federal court. What Monsewer is trying to do is remove from office, two elected officials that were elected by the citizens in Knox County's district nine and seven with the citizens FEDERAL right to vote. Neither Pinkston or Moore were term limited at the time of their re-election.
So, Herbert will have to start teaching fast food drive-tru employees how to respond with positive and quick service in order to avoid being pushed around by arrogant, self centered lawyers for a cheeseburger.
The ouster suit against
The ouster suit against Pinkston & Moore is being brought because they are the only two Commissioners who have refused to admit Sunshine Law violations, and who lied under oath during the trial.
Like Moncier or hate him, Pinkston & Moore are lousy excuses for Commissioners who flaunt the law and then refuse to admit it.
What you know about it.
WRONG
Ouster suits are state actions. There is no federal jurisdiction.
State cases are
appealed to the federal level. Especially if an attorney in question is disbarred from federal court. The case does not end on the state level as you suggest. All citizens have the right to go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ouster suits
Mr./Ms. Anonymous,
You do realize you're arguing with a public defender there, don't you? I think he might know a wee bit more about the court system than you do.
Randy, can you give me an IP
Randy, can you give me an IP or other ID on that anonymous troll? I'm interested in looking at my legal options.
I hope nobody's taking legal
I hope nobody's taking legal advice from Anonymous (not the one with the brain, which would be me).
But Rachel, ma'am
you all in South Knox County voted Pinkston in. If he is a "lousy excuse for a Commissioner" than you are to blame. Because you didn't get your guy or gal elected.
So, I guess all of South Knox County in your estimation is a lazy excuse of a Commission district. hmm
You're just silly. Being
You're just silly. Being unsuccessful isn't the same thing as being lazy.
And you're forgetting that Pinkston's appointee, and candidate in the Feb. primary, Tim Greene, was soundly defeated. We'll have at least one good Commissioner from the 9th district come August.
But Rachel, ma'am
If you don't like Pinkston. You still have at least one good Commissioner with Victoria DeFreese. She is AWESOME.

Commissioner DeFreese is SOMEthing, all right.
you all in South Knox County
you all in South Knox County voted Pinkston in
Actually, Pinkston got 2865 votes out of 4352 cast. Most of those were clicking the "R" or the name they recognized, like most local elections.
I don't have turnout or registration by district, but it was 19.9% county wide. So if it was the same in the 9th commission district, that means Pinkston was elected by 13% of the South Knox voters. Doesn't sound like a "y'all" mandate to me.
The moral of the story for South Knox and everywhere else is: Get People to the Polls!
well, o.k.
but the BIG ole' fat bottom line is, when you don't vote you don't get the right to bi***. So Pinkston was elected, because, get this he got more votes.
So if Rachel, ma'am contends that her Commissioner is a "lousy excuse" of one. Then that reflects on her and her community. Get it? Got it!

I'm literally cringing with chastisement.
BTW, I would agree that having a lousy Commissioner reflects badly on the people who voted for him. OTOH, a lot of those folks seem to be paying more attention since they rejected his crony Tim Greene.
Personally, I'm having
Personally, I'm having trouble believing that someone with spelling and grammar problems as bad as those displayed by Mr./Ms. Anonymous can comprehend the constitution.

My guess is these types of
My guess is these types of situations (some day to day issues like the $730 issue above and numerous others) have come up every day for typical Joe Citizen since Moore has been on county commission and he probably has not given them the time of day.
Given the Moncier suit maybe he is trying to get some things done before he is off CC and no longer in position to do anything.
