Wait a minute here...
She walked home with another student? (Nothing happened according to the article, but that makes her a sexual predator to be put on probation?)
Then the other student kissed her? She didn't initiate the kiss - the other girl did - and she's the one to blame???
Then a boy student moons her and she's to blame simply because she's a lesbian?
Yeah, makes perfect sense. Sometimes adults are the dumbest dumb people around.
And according to the article...she is being charged with statutory rape which doesn't make sense because NONE of the incidents even meets the standard of the law which the article prints out???
Wow...can you say bigotry run amuck?
The statutory rape portion of the Tennessee Code Annotated:

Too soon to get outraged. It
Too soon to get outraged. It looks like all the facts are coming from the accused's mother. I'd wait to hear or read all the proof before making up my mind about whether this should be a civil rights case or a stat rape case.
Also, if Jane is under 18, she can't be accused of stat rape. If she's over 18 and Jill is within four years younger, Jane is safe. I dunno. As much as it may be possible for an entire community to conspire to ruin the life of a young lesbian with fraudulent orders of protection and trumped up disorderly conduct charges and threats of felony prosecution, the fact we're only hearing from the mother makes the whole thing sound a little sketchy at this point.
the article says...
"Jane" is 16 and the "victim", "Jill", is 14.

Then Jane has nothing to
Then Jane has nothing to worry about except her mother running her mouth before Abby Rubenfeld can put together a civil rights claim.
