This may well be the proverbial straw.

I want to see the entire

I want to see the entire Nov. 27 document signed off on by Gonzales. This New York Times story doesn't link a copy. Anyone?

I want to see the Constitution

I want to see the Constitution restored to where it was before this Administration shredded it with thousands of cases of National security letters misused by the FBI, warrantless wiretapping, and a host of other abuses of power.

I want to see the entire 18

I want to see the entire 18 day gap in the White House emails.

Now it's getting

Now it's getting interesting!

Monica Goodling, a Justice Department official involved in the firings of federal prosecutors, will refuse to answer questions at upcoming Senate hearings, citing Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination, her lawyer said Monday.

Hmmm. Invoking the Fifth

Hmmm. Invoking the Fifth Amendment. The first sign that a crime may have occurred. Gets more like Watergate every day.

Gonzales Must Resign

Alberto Gonzales must resign. In my opinion, he is associated with the actions of "extreme rendition". We don't need a policeman knocking on the front door, and then have a policeman at the back door say "Come in!". The rights of both the victims and the accused must be observed.
This is America, not Iran... We don't need some of the more
radical portions of the Patriot Act to be endorsed nor continued... Also, Mr. Gonzales, you don't fire attorneys just because the disagree with you politically. I'm glad that the US Senate and the House voted to eliminate that power of the Attorney General--or so it seemed to me. Even republicans are up and at 'em about Gonzales cavalier attitude toward firing his fellow U S Attorneys. It looks like a grudge match by Gonzales and folks he doenn't "cotton" to.

Actually, it's not about Gonzo

He's just the consigliari covering for the Family. It's about the Bush Family...And Friends.

Rove and Cheney must be brought before Congress to testify under oath.

I doubt Gonzo will resign because he loses too much protection as a private citizen. I figure Monica's lawyer is pushing for immunity for her in return for her giving up her boss, who will in turn push for immunity or a pardon.

It's all in the timing.

Impeachment, immunity, pardons...It's like the Chicken, the Egg, and the Turkey conundrum.

The Core

He's just the consigliari covering for the Family. It's about the Bush Family...And Friends.

More perspective, from Novakula and John DiIulio, former Bush director of the White House Office Of Faith-based and Community Initiatives. Not quite liberal partisans. Excerpt which is just a warm-up:

....The word most often used by Republicans to describe the management of the Justice Department under Gonzales is "incompetent."....The I-word (incompetence) is also used by Republicans in describing the Bush administration generally....
