A coalition of 22 attorneys general sued the federal government,
claiming that the $4 billion in cuts would “grind to a halt” studies on cancer, heart disease and other conditions.

This is a separate lawsuit from the one 19 state attorney generals sued over Treasury data.

A federal judge on Monday temporarily blocked the National Institutes of Health from cutting research funding in 22 states that filed suit earlier in the day

Thus, Tennessee and every other southeastern state, except North Carolina, are still prevented from receiving National Institutes of Health research funding.

"In addition to Massachusetts, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, , Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin are a part of the lawsuit."

Again, be thankful there are some states, groups, organizations and individuals willing and able to stand up to these oligarchs.

The N.I.H.’s [Trump/Musk]

The N.I.H.’s [Trump/Musk] announcement was made, of course, in the language of “efficiency.”

...
The problem with doing that is that these grants are a crucial reason that America has the most advanced biomedical research infrastructurethe N.I.H. awards grants to more than 300,000 researchers at more than 2,500 institutions, including the Mayo Clinic and the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas — along with some of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Every dollar in N.I.H. grants spurs $2.09 in economic activity, and every $100 million in investment leads to 78 patents and $598 million in further research, according to N.I.H. calculations. Those “overheads” help cover basic infrastructure that make all this possible.

I have something to say about that

This is what I posted to Facebook.

"A federal judge just blocked Trump’s NIH cuts, but it is limited to the blue states that sued. It won’t affect any red states because they didn’t sue, because they don’t care about their people."
And I wrote Randy Boyd of UT and UT Hospital and asked them what they are going to do about it.
Yes, I'm a current patient. I want more research done so maybe cancer treatment won't still be cut, burn, and poison!

Exactly!

I need to start contacting politicians to let them know they need to stop hurting us.
