Sunday, January 3, 2016, around 12:45 AM, a shooting occurred. A 15 yr old young man was injured when a friend "accidentally" shot the gun. The incident occurred in a home on S. Hembree Street, across the street from Austin-East High School, East Knoxville.
Shooting death in East Knoxville, 2600 block Wilson Ave.
Monday, January 4, 2016, around 3 PM, a shooting occurred. A man was injured. The incident occurred in the 2600 block of Wilson Avenue, 2 blocks south of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and 1 block east of S Cherry Street, East Knoxville.
The man died from his injuries.
Shooting in Fort Sanders area, Highland Ave.
Thursday, January 7, 2016, around 6 PM, a shooting occurred. A man was injured. The incident occurred at 1402 Highland Avenue, Highland Manor Apts., between Fourteenth Street and James Agee Street, near the University of Tennessee campus, Center City/Fort Sanders.

Saturday, January 10, 2016, around 2:30 PM, a shooting occurred. No one was injured. The incident occurred on S. Cherry Street, between Parkview Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, East Knoxville.
Shooting in North Knoxville, near Sharps Ridge
Thursday, January 14, 2016, around 7:30 PM, a shooting occurred. No injuries were reports. It is possible the shooting was for target practice. Seven guns were found at the home along with marijuana, other drugs and paraphernalia The incident occurred on Farragut Avenue, which backs up to Sharps Ridge Park, North Knoxville.

Shooting in West Knox County, Concord area
Thursday, February 11, 2016, around 7:30 PM, a shooting occurred. A 70 year old man is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds and is in critical condition. It is being reported a juvenile living at the home is involved. The incident occurred at 604 Dryden Lane (the victims long time residence), near Turkey Creek Road and Concord Road, off of Northshore, in West Knox County.
Update: the man died from his gunshot injuries.

Saturday, February 13, 2016, around 5:30 PM, a shooting occurred. One person was injured. The incident occurred at Adair Manor Apartments on Adair Drive, just north of the I-640/Broadway interchange, behind Lynnhurst Cemetary in Fountain City, North Knoxville.

Monday, February 15, 2016, around 12:30 AM, a shooting occurred. No one was injured. The incident occurred at the Red Roof Inn, 209 Advantage Place, which is near the intersection of Peters Road and Cedar Bluff Road, in West Knoxville.
The alledged victim of this shooting is the alledged shooter of the January 14, 2016, shooting in East Knoxville.

Tuesday, February 16, 2016, around 5 PM, a shooting occurred. Bryan Starmer, Creative Director for Cityview Magazine, accidentally shot himself while in the bathroom. He is a gun carry permit holder. The incident occurred at the Cityview Magazine offices, 6812 Baum Drive, which is off of Northshore and Deane Hill Drives, West Knoxville.

Thursday, February 18, 2016, around 10 PM, a shooting occurred. A man was shot twice in the abdomen. The incident occurred at 1122 Hiawassee Avenue, one block west of Broadway, behind Fountain Bowling, North Knoxville.

Saturday, February 20, 2016, around 1 AM, a shooting occurred. No injuries. Someone shot at a house. The bullet went into a bedroom where a baby was sleeping in a crib, went through the headboard of the crib and passed through three more walls. The incident occurred at Stillglen Lane, east of Pleasant Ridge Road and south of Clinton Highway, North Knox County.

Saturday, February 20, 2016, in the afternoon, a shooting occurred. A woman was hit in the head by a "ricocheted bullet" at a shooting range. The incident occurred at TACSOG Armory and Range, 10737 Dutchtown Road, off of Lovell Road, behind the Truck Stops of America, West Knox County.
Shooting death in South Knox County, Pickens Gap Road
Tuesday, February 23, 2016, around midnight, a shooting occurred. A 37 year old man was killed by a 21 year old man as a result of the shooting. It is reported the men were neighbors and an argument escalated into the shooting death. The incident occurred at 8108 Pickens Gap Road, just south of Tipton Station Road, south of John Sevier Highway and west of Chapman Hwy (441), in South Knox County.

Thursday, February 25, 2016, around 11:45 AM, a shooting occurred. A man was killed and a woman was injured as a result of the shooting. The incident occurred at 514 Ault Street, south of Holston Drive in East Knoxville.

Saturday, February 27, 2016, around 1 AM, a shooting occurred. A man was killed. The shooting occurred at the Ridgebrook apartments on Ridgebrook Lane off of Western Avenue, which is next to Malcolm Martin Park and Knoxville College, in North Knoxville. The apartments are a couple of blocks from the Knoxville News-Sentinel facilities.

Friday, March 4, 2016, around 9:45 PM, a shooting occurred. Negligent gun handling resulted in a man shooting himself in the leg. The incident occurred in the West Town Mall parking lot at the Cheesecake Factory, West Knoxville.
Update: the 23-year-old man was a gun carry permit holder.

Saturday, March 12, 2016, around 9 PM, a shooting occurred. A person was injured. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Connecticut Avenue, near the Lonsdale Baptist Church, Lonsdale, North Knoxville.
Update on Lonsdale shooting
Please update this thread. The shooting did not occur in Lonsdale. The call for help occurred in Lonsdale in the parking lot of Lonsdale Baptist Church. 3 young black males, 2 Central HS grads, 1 argument, 1 shot fired into a leg, ambulance requested by them. It may not even be reported as a crime.
At least the heavy and prompt response shows that Western District is not wanting Lonsdale violence to flare up again.

Saturday, March 26, 2016, around 2:30 AM, a shooting occurred after a fight. No injuries were reported. At least 6 cars were damaged along with windows in two stores, including the Disc Exchange. The incident occurred at 2619 Chapman Hwy., across the street from Shoneys, in South Knoxville.

Sunday, March 27, 2016, early in the morning, a shooting occurred. One person was injured, shot in the chest. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Dandridge Avenue, near the intersection with Wilder Place.

Sunday, March 27, 2016, around 8:00 PM, a shooting occurred. Two people were injured during an argument over an online purchase. The incident occurred at 1403 Fair Drive, east of Inskip Drive and south of Cedar Lane, North Knoxville.

Tuesday, March 29, 2016, around 11:15 PM, a shooting occurred after an argument. Two people were injured. The incident occurred at 519 E. Churchwell Avenue, about two blocks west of St. Mary's Hospital (Physicians Regional/Tennova), in North Knoxville.
Update: "A 41-year-old man is facing charges of attempted murder after allegedly opening fire on a group of people, including a baby, inside a North Knoxville home, according to arrest warrants."

Saturday, April 2, 2016, just after midnight, a shooting occurred. A 19 year old man was shot multiple times. The incident occurred at KCDC partnershiped The 1100 Studio Apartments (previously Townview Towers) at 1100 Lula Powell Drive (previously Townview Drive), just off of Summit Hill Drive, across the street from Green Magnet Academy Elementary School, close to the Knoxville Police Department, in East Knoxville.

Sunday, April 3, 2016, around 9 PM, a shooting occurred. One man died from his gunshot injuries. The incident occurred at the Lakeview Motel, 6133 Chapman Hwy., across from the Lindy Road intersection, in the Colonial Village area, in South Knoxville.

Did not see this shooting reported until an update on the Club Dejavu closing on April 8, 2016.
Saturday, February 20, 2016, time unknown, a shooting occurred and was observed by undercover officers who were surveilling the club. No one was injured. The incident occurred at Club Dejavu, 2619 Chapman Hwy., across the street from Shoneys, in South Knoxville.

Saturday, April 17, 2016, around 10 PM, a shooting occurred. At this time it is unknown if anyone was injured. The incident occurred near the intersection of Moses Avenue and College Street, which is where Danny Mayfield Park and Maynard Elementary School are located, in North Knoxville.
Update: a twelve year old boy was shot in the head and killed. The incident occurred at Danny Mayfield Park. The boy was Zaevion Dobson’s cousin.

Tuesday, May 3, 2016, around 2:15 PM, a shooting occurred. No injuries were reported. The shooter is reported to be a relative of the woman living at the address. The shooting occurred on Westland Drive, about 1/2 mile west of I-140/Pellissippi Parkway, between Hamilton Ridge Lane and Andover View Lane, West Knox County.
Shooting in East Knoxville, Wilson Ave/S. Chestnut St.
Late Friday night, May 6, 2016, or early Saturday morning, May 7, 2016, a shooting occurred. Not injuries were reported. Multiple shell casings were found near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and S. Chestnut Street, near Paul Hogue Park, one block west of Cherry Street and two blocks south of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., East Knoxville.

Sunday morning, May 8, 2016, around 2:30 AM, a shooting occurred. One man was shot multiple times by a reported friend. He was sitting in his garage. The incident occurred in the 3200 block of Burnside Street, near the intersection with Texas Avenue, Lonsdale, North Knoxville.

Sunday, May 15, around 4:30PM, a shooting occurred. One man was injured. The incident occurred at Frajan Campbell Park, corner of Moses Avenue and Wallace Street, a couple of blocks from Knoxville College, in North Knoxville.

Tuesday, May 17, 2016, around 12:01 AM, a shooting occurred. Approximately 38 rounds were fired into and around a home, but no one was injured. The incident occurred in the 900 block of James Road, off of Skyline Drive, just south of the Asheville Highway split in East Knoxville.
Shooting in East Knoxville, at/near Caswell Park
Thursday, May 19, 2016, around 8:15 AM, a shooting occurred. One man was shot in the chest. The man said the incident occurred at Caswell Park, which is next to the O'Connor Senior Citizen's Center. He was found at the intersection of E. 5th Avenue and Austin Street, East Knoxville.
Shooting in South Knoxville, Southmont Apartments
Sunday, May 22, 2016, around 2:30 AM, a shooting occurred. A man was shot in the face by a man who was allegedly trying to rob him. There is some confusion as to where the shooting occurred. The shooting is reported to have occurred at Southmont Apartments, 1642 Hillwood Drive, which is between Sevier Avenue and South Haven, South Knoxville. However, Hillwood Villa Apartments are at that address and Southmont Apartments are at 1415 E. Moody Avenue, acroos the street from Sevier Avenue Fire Station #10.
Update: final reports indicate the shooting occurred at Southmont Apartments, 1415 E. Moody Avenue, acroos the street from Sevier Avenue Fire Station #10, South Knoxville.
Shooting in East Knoxville, Louise Avenue
Sunday, May 22, 2016, around 4:30 PM, a shooting occurred. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Louise Avenue, south of the Cherry Street and Magnolia Avenue intersection, a couple of blocks from Austin-East High School, East Knoxville.
Shooting in West Knoxville, Western Ave & Pleasant Ridge Rd
Monday, May 23, 2016, around 6:15 PM, a shooting occurred. No injuries have been reported. It is reported that two Hondas (an Accord and an Element) were driving on Western Ave. The occupants of the Accord start shooting at the occupants of the Element. Shots hit an O'Reilly Auto Parts store on Western Avenue. The incident occurred at the intersection of Western Avenue and Pleasant Ridge Road, a half mile east of I-640, West Knoxville.
Shooting in North Knoxville, Teeple Street
Sunday, May 29, 2016, around 10:45 PM, a shooting occurred. Two men were injured. The shooting occurred in the 2400 block of Teeple Street, which is just east of Whittle Springs Road and Cherry Street, and south of Washington Pike, North Knoxville.
Shooting in East Knox County, Pioneer Trail
Sunday, June 12, 2016, in the afternoon, a shooting occurred. One woman was shot by her ex-husband. The incident occurred at 7808 Pioneer Trail, between Rutledge Pike and Millertown Pike, East Knox County.
Shooting in West Knox County, Dunaire Dr., Farrington
Tuesday, July 5, 2016, around 9:30 PM, a shooting occurred. Knox County deputies were called to a disturbance at a home. A man shot at the officers. The incident occurred at 8721 Dunaire Drive, Farrington neighborhood, off of Ebenezer Road, between Nubbins Ridge and Westland, West Knox County.
Shooting death in South Knoxville, Davenport Road area
Sunday, July 10, 2016, around 9:30 PM, a shooting occurred. A man died from the gunshot wounds. It is being reported the man was shot while arguing over a parking place. The shooter had wounds from a knife, but is not expected to be life threatening.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Oak Crest low income housing apartments, Knotty Oak Way, at the corner of Davenport Road, in South Knoxville. The apartments were built in 2007.
Shootings appear to be becoming more frequent near the Davenport road area. In June, 2015, a shooting occurred on Hall Street, just 150 feet from these apartments. In September, 2013, a shooting occurred at the Spanish Trace Apartments, at the intersection of Boggs and Davenport, approx. a 1/4 mile from the Oak Crest apts. In August, 2012, another shooting occurred at the Spanish Trace Apartments, at the intersection of Boggs and Davenport. These are only the shootings we are aware of.

Sunday, July 10, 2016, in the evening, a shooting occurred. A man reported being shot near the intersection of Chickamauga Avenue and Central Street/Bruin Road, North Knoxville.
Shooting in South Knoxville, Southmont Apartments
Thursday, July 14, 2016, around 1:30 AM, a shooting occurred. A man was shot in the leg. The shooting occurred at Southmont Apartments, 1415 E. Moody Avenue, acroos the street from Sevier Avenue Fire Station #10, South Knoxville. This is the second reported shooting at this apartment complex this year. The first shooting occurred on May 22, 2016.
Shooting in West Knoxville, Sutherland Ave. near West High
Saturday, July 16, 2016, in the evening, a shooting occurred. One person was injured. The incident occurred at Sutherland Park Apartments on Vista Glen Way off Sutherland Avenue across from West High School in West Knoxville.
This is the second shooting at this apartment complex in eight months. A shooting occurred on December 15, 2015.
Shooting in East Knox County, Curtis Road
Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in the morning, a shooting occurred. One man was injured. The incident occurred on Curtis Road, near Midway Road, in East Knox County.
Shooting in Fort Sanders/UT area, Laurel Avenue
Thursday, July 21, 2016, around 12:30 AM, a shooting occurred. No injuries were reported. The incident occurred at 1204 Laurel Avenue, in the Fort Sanders neighborhood, a block or so from the Fort Kid playground and the Knoxville Museum of Art, Knoxville.
Shooting in East Knoxville, Bethel Ave.
Monday, July 25, 2016, around 1:30AM, a shooting occurred. One man was injured. The incident occurred at the Walter P. Taylor Homes apartment complex, 2205 Bethel Avenue, in East Knoxville.
Shooting in North Knoxville, Minnesota Ave.
Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in the evening, a shooting occurred. One person was injured. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Minnesota Avenue, a block from the Sam Hill Preschool/Family/Community Center and park, a block south of Texas Avenue, in North Knoxville.
Shooting in East Knoxville, 2400 block of Wilson Ave.
Saturday, July 30, 2016, around 3 AM, a shooting occurred. One man was injured, he is in serious condition. The incident occurred in the 2400 block of Wilson Avenue, near Paul Hogue Park, two blocks west of Cherry Street and two blocks south of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., East Knoxville.
This is the third shooting on Wilson Avenue, within a couple of blocks, this year.
Shooting in South Knoxville, Daylily Drive
Monday, August 1, 2016, around 11:15 PM, a shooting occurred. One man was injured in the shooting. The incident occurred at the Montgomery Village Apartments, Daylily Drive, near Community Unity Park, a block off of Maryville Pike, in South Knoxville.
Two police officers were injured on the way to the scene when they crashed into each other at the intersection of Moody Avenue and Chapman Hwy.
Shooting in East Knoxville, Henrietta Ave. and Langland Str.
Sunday, August 14, 2016, around 9:30 PM, a shooting occurred. One man was shot multiple times. The incident occurred near the intersection of Henrietta Avenue and Langland Street, near Harriet Tubman Park and Vine Middle School, a block south of McCalla Avenue and two blocks north of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.
Shooting in North Knoxville, Ridgebrook Apartments

Thursday, August 25, 2016, before 11 AM, a shooting occurred. One man was injured. It is not know exactly where the shooting occurred. The injured man drove to the Knoxville Police Department headquarters on Howard Baker Jr. Boulevard, East Knoxville, where he was attended to and taken to the hospital.
The man died from the gunshot wounds. It was finally determined the shooting occurred on Cityview Avenue, a couple of blocks south of Martin Luther King Jr Ave. and a block east of McConnell Street, East Knoxville. He was from Prince George's County, Md.

Saturday, September 3, 2016, around 1 AM, a shooting occurred. No one was injured. A gunshot was heard and a man was seen leaving the area with a gun. The incident occurred near the intersection of Clinch Avenue and 14th Street, a block north of the University of Tennessee Hoskins Library, near the University of Tennessee campus, Center City/Fort Sanders neighborhood.

The incident occurred at The 1100 Studio Apartments (previously Townview Towers) at 1100 Lula Powell Drive (previously Townview Drive), just off of E. Summit Hill Drive, across the street from Green Magnet Academy Elementary School, close to the Knoxville Police Department, in East Knoxville.
At least one shooting has been reported at this apartment complex in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015. This is the second shooting at this apartment complex in 2016.

The boyfriend of the home invasion victim chased the alleged perpetrators to Crippen Road, Maynardville Hwy., then Mynatt Road where the shooting happened. Maynardville Hwy. is the extension of North Broadway, just past the Knoxville/Knox County line, in the Halls Community.

This is the third shooting at this apartment complex in less than a year.
