The Trump administration filed a brief Thursday night calling on the U.S. Supreme Court to invalidate the Affordable Care Act — which allows millions of Americans to get health insurance coverage — just as the nation smashed a record for new COVID-19 cases in a single day.
Who elected these horrible, uncaring people? What they are doing is deplorable.

Confirm Number?
I was looking at several news thingies yesterday and heard that 500,000 people who were recently unemployed signed up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act. Has anyone else heard that number.
I do see that information via
(in reply to Tom Salter)
I do see that information via Kaiser Health News.
Roughly 487,000 people signed up for an Affordable Care Act exchange plan after losing other health coverage since the last open enrollment period ended in December, CMS said Thursday. That's about 46% higher than sign-ups during the same period last year. Sign-ups through a special enrollment period for people who lost minimum essential coverage rose sharply during April and remained high in May, suggesting that the enrollments were related to job losses due the COVID-19 pandemic. (Livingston, 6/25)
Via the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute, I also see there has been a large increase in Medicaid enrollees.
...total Medicaid enrollment growth is now 5.8% (15 states) over the past three months and seems to be picking up.
That's an increase of nearly a million people.
