I just got a letter from Bill Clinton, begging for donations to the Democratic Congressional fund. So I wrote on the donation card, in black felt marker, "NO PUBLIC OPTION, NO DONATION," and stuck it in the postage-paid return envelope. Taking that envelope out to the mailbox was the best political statement I've made in ages.

If a few thousand others do the same, then as Arlo Guthrie used to say, they might think it's a movement!

Bravo

And they wonder why we don't give to the party any more.

Ditto to the DNC

I wrote under the donation check boxes
"not one more dime until you pass a meaningful healthcare bill."

Hmmm... Maybe not a bad idea.

Hmmm... Maybe not a bad idea. Wonder if I can do the same thing with all the emails I receive from the DSCC, etc. begging for money.

Won't work with email

Unfortunately, it doesn't work with email. I know; I've tried. Your reply will simply bounce back, which is the way the system is designed. They want only money to trickle up, not good ideas. Gotta do hard copy. Fortunately, you can use the postage-paid envelope they usually send with solicitations in the mail.

Try the web form

They have a web form at dccc.org that you can use to send email that won't bounce. I already sent my "not one penny until health reform" message to the DCCC a few weeks ago when they went into meltdown over the Massachusetts election. They should have the same form at dscc.org and dnc.org.

Hey, it might be working!

Even Senator Helmet Hair has signed on! And the article sez more are to be added.

Our Democratic Party politicians in Washington.

Our Democratic Party politicians in Washington have really sunk below expectations and ethical standards, and they are changing America into a far different county than the one we have known in our lifetimes.

In other words, we the members of the Democratic Party love our country and we do not want corrupted and dishonest politicians making radical changes within our government, especially when it curtails taking away our individual Liberty and Freedom.

Altogether, we as Democrats must take the lead with a powerful political opposition within our Democratic Party by participating in electoral politics. In addition, we must have a willingness to speak out in providing the facts and analysis people can us to criticize liberal proposals, and propose common-sense conservative alternatives.

Thank you, and God bless America.

This is some ugly spam

What a bunch of nonsense. There are no liberal proposals from the current Democratic congress, or from Obama. It's all old, recycled Republican proposals that the current Republicans won't support because they've gone into the looney bin. I'd vote to delete anything from this Pearson creep.

IS THIS OLD NEWS?

Is last month to old for you? Such as, the one below made on January 5, 2010.

Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) emerged from a closed-door meeting with top House Democratic leaders, the press asked her about C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb’s request that she permit cameras to televise the final health care negotiations between the House and Senate. After Pelosi first demurred, a reporter reminded Pelosi about President Barack Obama’s frequent promises to the American people throughout 2008 that he would ensure C-SPAN was allowed to televise exactly such negotiations, to which Nancy Pelosi quipped: “There are a number of things he was for on the campaign trail.”

Thank you, and God bless America.

So what is your point?

I’m a fully registered Democratic Party candidate for the 2010 election. Also, Jim Cooper is not a Member of the Democratic Party web site.

Thank you, and God bless America.

My point?

Googling "tennessee 2010 primary 5" and the like yields...

...and a number of others.

Don't see your name anywhere on the radar. No one has you listed as a candidate.

There are no reports bearing your name with the State Election Registry or Federal Election Commission either.

And the TNDP website shows that you're no longer affiliated with TNDP.

Let's see if you can figure out what my point is.

Mr. Andy Axel:

Thank you, for I didn't know about the other sites you mentioned. However, as of February 11, 2010, my petition was verified in writing by Mr. Mark K. Goins (Coordinator of Elections) State of Tennessee, Department of State, Division of Elections. Phone: (615) 741-7956.

Also, a copy was previously sent to the Tennessee Democratic Party. This was followed up by a phone call verifying me as a Democratic Party candidate for the office of U.S. House of Representatives in the 5th district, Tennessee.

Anyway, if you want I’ll scan and post the documents online.

Again, Thank you.

No, thank you. Best laugh

No, thank you. Best laugh that I've had in a loooooooooooooong time.

I should make book on the outcome of the primary. Jason Pullias (the last primary challenge to Cooper, in 2006) got about 10% of the vote.

Think you can pull more than single digits?
