Summer weather has arrived! I love the heat. 90's for the next five days. Bring out the sprinklers for frolic and fun, dancing in the sun.

Where's da beach, man?

The problem with heat is

The problem with heat is that you can only take off so many clothes. With cold, you can always put on more.

Plus, cave people figured out early on you could build a fire to keep warm. It took them several millennia to figure out AC.

Just sayin'...

You obviously don't own a 90

You obviously don't own a 90 year old house with inadequate insulation upstairs where you sleep. It's almost impossible to cool it up there when the temp is over 90.

I'm thinking about sleeping in the downstairs guest room tonight. Small bed, but the spouse is away. It's big enough for me and the cat.

We are swimming in the Creek every night

We're thinking about camping out on the creek bank Friday evening. After a dip you stay nice and chilled out for several hours.

We have a problem because the air conditioning isn't working. Hey...It's just like the old days, right?

I don't have air

I don't have air conditioning. I live in a small apartment with a dehumidifier. That and a fan serve me just fine until it gets in the 90s. It's looking like it's going to be a long summer.

One of the local

One of the local meteorologists announced the other night that this summer is predicted to be unusually cool in East Tennessee.

In my youth back in the '50s I had a neighbor who was admired by all the kids. He was, magically, a "scientist" at ORNL. He had fabricated his own back yard pool and tied the water filtration/circulation system into the air conditioning of his house. Simultaneously he cooled the house deliciously and heated the pool.

Had I a handy creek I would be tempted to heat its water a bit as I got my cheap air conditioning.

46% HUMIDITY? I CAN'T BELEIVE IT

... when I left the house at 5:40 this morning the temp was 81 and the humidity was 85%. No wonder you don't mind the heat.
