What's the difference?

If you accept the rationale for having cameras detecting stoplight infractions, what's different about using them for speeding infractions?

I'd rather be cycling.

The thing about the red

The thing about the red light cameras that makes them ok for me is that KPD officers review each picture to make sure an infraction was really committed. That human review is easy to do with something like running a red light.

I'm having a bit of trouble seeing how you could do that kind of review for speeding. You'd just have to totally trust the cameras, and that concerns me.

Actually, you'd have to trust the camera and the radar gun. Alternatively, you must trust the policeman and the radar gun.
