Don’t forget to be at “The Cove” in Concord Park today for a free concert by the Hiptwangers.  The fun begins at 5:30 PM and should last about three hours.  It’s a part of Knox County’s “Second Saturday Sensations” and is usually great family fun.  Bring a picnic dinner and a lawn chair - and maybe a poncho.  Leashed pets are also welcomed.

Update after the break

Just back from the Hiptwangers concert.  An announcement at the beginning informed us that the band rarely plays before a sober audience.  There we were with a cooler full of sweet tea . . . . and I missed A Prairie Home Companion.  We'll try again next month.
