As of last week, almost 900 federal employees from across the country are working with disaster victims. Nearly $113 million in disaster grants and low-interest loans have been approved, nearly 50,000 people have registered with FEMA for assistance, and 28 disaster recovery centers are operating.

In Nashville, damage estimates are approaching $2 billion. City officials say more than 11,000 structures were damaged.
