Our new Democratic Headquarters!
As a relatively new Knox County Dem, I was thrilled to be there. Attendees included long-time members Linda and Dan Haney, Sylvia Woods and her family, as well as new leaders Jerome Miller and wife Cynthia, Kim Webber, Tony Brown and Harry Cullom, Gregg and Erin Lonas and their daughter Madeline. The new Knox County leadership team led by our own Gloria Johnson and her dedicated volunteers have totally rennovated what used to be the pay office for the AFL-CIO building located at 311 Morgan Street, and the changes are inspiring! Some Democratic candidates stopped by to join the celebration, including Daniel Brown, David Dupree, Ken Knight and Ray Abbas. And we were proud to showcase the wonderful art pieces, featuring President Barack Obama, created by Artist and Sculptor Mr. Eddie Davis.
A super new era for Knox County Democrats!
Mary L. Wilson, District 1
A good time!
The "half" opening was well attended by almost 50 people. Many stayed late and sat outside on the "patio" discussing local politics. It was a beautiful night and we are looking forward to the grand opening as soon as the entire office is completed. Stop by and visit us between 10 and 6 through the week and 10-1 on Saturday for coffee and donuts.
