KNOXVILLE, Tenn.— Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs will participate in a live video stream with the influential grassroots advocacy group, Americans for Prosperity today at 2:30 p.m. on the group’s Facebook page.

LOL. If by "influential grassroots advocacy group" you mean the Koch Bros. libertarian, tea party, anti-labor, anti-healthcare, anti-science, anti-tax Obama-hating policy group undermining the social wellbeing of America, well, OK then.

Bonus: The topic of the AFP/Jacobs video conference is "another potential $1 trillion spending package that would bailout state and local governments." Being all anti-debt and anti-deficit and whatnot, will they support the idea or side with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and say let the states go bankrupt? Stay tuned...

UPDATE: Looks like we have our answer: REJECT BAILOUTS!

Good points

Thank you for saying the truth. I live in the city so I hope his rejection only affect the county.

This is not

a policy response to the pandemic it is extortion of the Blue States, the GOP will bail out their Loyalists in some indirect fashion leaving the progressive states to dangle. Someone should point out to Kane that without Knoxville there is no Knox County Schools
