By way of WATE, from the jury selection questionnaire for the KNS v. Knox County lawsuit, pg. 13:

"55. (a) Did you write any comments on KnoxViews or any other blog about the January 31,2007 Knox County Commission meeting?

(b) If yes, please state briefly what you wrote."

I think Michael Silence is rounding up the blogger reports at his place. The bloggers are:

Rich Hailey (link...)

David Oatney (link...)

Russ McBee (link...)

Hmmmm...I checked the links and it doesn't appear that anyone blogged today's goings on. I had hoped that someone would give updates during the day. Maybe that will begin as the testimony starts tomorrow.

I was down there this morning as I had a motion hearing in a neighboring courtroom. The whole gang was there. This one is going to have some interesting moments. Hang on, folks!

I think two of the three bloggers aren't going to be able to attend the actual trial. Rich Hailey said he would try. Russ McBee has had some pretty good coverage of the coverage, though.

Unless there's footage to steal from cable access, "Channel9" is out.

Heh. I thought one of the jury questions should have been "are you or have you ever been #9?"

Careful....

That was actually quite funny...Annie looked at me like I was nuts when I laughed.

She's right, I mean, but it was still funny.

Would you trust a Jury trial that had # 9 in the house?

I think not...or #8 either.

What if you tried to comment

What if you tried to comment on that other popular local blog? I should think they would be concerned about Brian's commenters as well.

I took a look. It's interesting that the popular blog has not a single mention of last night's Commission meeting, though BH was there, sitting in the back. Never before has Commission used it's power to subpoena witnesses and hold such a hearing. And, it wasn't close, 14-1. Yet, there's no mention by the Truth Squad.

Gentle Readers

Perhaps the writer of that blog was out participating in a Big Brother program or helping to feed the homeless. One should not be so quick to judge the benevolent heart of one such as him. My admiration of his character cannot be measured. Please join me in sharing the love, extending the olive branch. I'm certain that if it were possible in cyber world he would dot each "i" with a tiny little heart. And don't forget to hug a puppy today.

blogging impact

Stating the obvious here, but I think it's cool that the inclusion of that question in the jury selection questionnaire is such a clear indicator of the impact your blogging has on both local politics and media, Randy.

Scuttlebutt travels.

No doubt. Who's in charge of writing the questionnaire for the voir dire, I wonder?

I think it's the lawyers for both sides (whoever they are). But how would anyone remember what they wrote?
