Will we ever know the absolute truth?

According to an article in The Independent (UK):

Mobile phones could kill far more people than smoking or asbestos, a study by an award-winning cancer expert has concluded. He says people should avoid using them wherever possible and that governments and the mobile phone industry must take "immediate steps" to reduce exposure to their radiation.

...

It draws on growing evidence – exclusively reported in the IoS in October – that using handsets for 10 years or more can double the risk of brain cancer. Cancers take at least a decade to develop, invalidating official safety assurances based on earlier studies which included few, if any, people who had used the phones for that long.

What is the truth anyway? We have selective truth. We have scientific truth. Some have religious truth.

We have never used our cellphones very much. We probably average 75 minutes or less a month for the two of us. I wonder what France, Germany, and the European Environment Agency consider reduced use.

A lot more people are using

A lot more people are using cell phones as their primary telephone. Europe was way ahead of the U.S. in developing cellphone networks as I recall. China and developing countries are going almost exclusively cellphone because of cheaper infrastructure costs and because building the type of copper networks we have in the U.S. isn't practical. So the point is, I guess the definition of "reduced use" is subjective, as you suggest.

My son works for one of the cell phone companies and he was told carrying a cell phone in your pocket could cause sterility. He told me, Dad looks like I'm not going to give you any grandkids... He carries three around in his pockets!!!

I think the worst danger with cell phones is using them when your mind should be on what you are doing.

Trying to LOOK IMPORTANT with a cell phone to you ear...while talking to no one. Whoda thunk a "mover and shaker" chick in a 87 Corolla was making a big stock deal?

The Anniston situation made me cringe also; (link...) I know we all have our own candidates for our own reasons, but it does make one wonder who will be the President that actually ends the types of abuse we see in Anniston or Tulia (link...)

We still have people in this area who want to debate our government’s role in Tuskegee. The only way to get past certain situations is to actually pass some of the people who created them.
