My Echo
My Echo is connected to the Alexa app, but the "Amazon Sidewalk" step in the instructions provided doesn't show. I'm not sure which generation of Echo I have, but I know it's not the first such. I hope I don't see the "Sidewalk" step because the app knows somehow that my Echo is maybe too old?
Or...and not likely.....maybe it's just too early now for the "Sidewalk" step to show within the app until the June 8th deadline draws nearer?

You might be able to check the version using these steps,
Check Your Echo Device's Software Version
Open the Alexa app .
Select Devices .
Select Echo & Alexa.
Select your device.
Select About to see your device's software version.
Or......

Open the Alexa app.
Open “More.”
Select “Settings.”
Select “Account Settings.”
Select “Amazon Prime.”
Disable “Amazon Prime.”
