This one was seen today in Fountain City. We had a 1965. Not a great car mechanically, but it was stylish ..

My first car was a 1966
My first car was a 1966 Mustang. Judging from this archive I believe it was the Silver Blue. It had a 200 HP inline 6 cyl. and a three speed automatic. It would fly.
My Dad bought it from an uncle who bought and restored wrecks. It had been rear-ended and my uncle did an awesome job fixing/restoring it. My Dad drove it for a while and gave it to me when I turned 16 and got my driver's license. We rebuilt the engine at least once. Other than that, it was easy to work on.
I had some awesome teen times in that car. Too many stories to tell. Wish I still had it.
Didn't realize the car came
(in reply to R. Neal)
Didn't realize the car came in so many colors. Ours was in Ivy Green Metallic a.k.a British Racing Green. My mother bought the car new; it was the 6-cylinder with 3-speed Cruise-o-Matic or whatever they called it. Somewhere I have a pic of it ..
Mustang
Mr. Bartakowski, the stock broker who lived across the street from us, bought one not long after they came out.
We all thought it was the coolest guy ever.
Mustang
My first car was a 1969 Mustang Fastback, black jade exterior, ivy gold interior, 302 v8. Still have it today!
My Friend Steve
is slowly putting his '69 Mustang back on the road. He bought it in a bunch of boxes a few years ago almost literally for a song...or two.
