WhitesCreek: Yes, the only one we saw. People said there were four or five in the area, though.
Scott: No, we were on the observation deck. The far bank in that photo is a long ways off, probably half a mile at least. Had a long telephoto, and the photo is cropped to enlarge the scene.
P.S. We saw some guy in an SUV with an antenna on top cruising the refuge. Someone there said he is the Whooping Crane tracker.
