Stuff we like, use, or recommend:

Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens

A capable, inexpensive entry-level kit with a basic 18-55 VR ("vibration reduction" image stabilization) lens..
Nikon D90 DX 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only)

Nikon's flagship DX format consumer/prosumer DSLR with an updated image sensor and all the latest features and electronics. Camera body only, lenses sold separately.
Canon FS100 Flash Memory Camcorder

All digital, easy to use, quick startup, amazing zoom, records directly to SDHC card (8GB recommended), easy to copy to PC for editing, making DVDs, or uploading to YouTube. Records in standard or widescreen format (not HD, but looks great on HD TV playback.)
Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS Navigator

We have had the Nuvi 650 for a while and love it. It's been on some long road trips and we don't know how we got along without it. This updated version includes route planning, an essential feature for long road trips. Current pricing makes this an excellent bargain for all the features.
TiVo HD Digital Video Recorder

We have Tivo S3 and we love it. This new Tivo HD model is a less expensive version with all the essential features. Records HD from Cable or off the air (doesn't work with satellite, but DirecTV is going to have one in late 2009.) Also plays music, video, and photo slide shows over home network.
Samsung 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

We got an earlier version of this for the bedroom when our old Sony tube TV died. Great picture and low price make it a great bargain for an extra room LCD TV.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom v2

The fastest, easiest way to organize, tag, categorize, edit, catalog, and process lots of photos. Pro features, supports JPEG and virtually all known camera RAW files.(If you don't want to spend this kind of money, Google Picasa is a great free alternative.)
Amazon.com Gift Card

For the person who has everything.
