In addition to unloading on the Republican Party and throwing McCain under the bus, Palin says she is puzzled by all the attention paid to her wardrobe.
You don't suppose it has anything to do with spending more than most people make in a year to outfit herself and her family in designer fashions while she's out selling herself as just a small town girl made good you betcha who relates to the hardships of all the Joe the Plumbers struggling in "real" America?
What an idiot. She's definitely the fresh new face of the Republican Party dead-enders.

What she really should be
What she really should be saying is that she's surprised that the press would focus on something like this when she's a Republican. Or maybe she wasn't paying attention to the RNC-manufactured foofaraw about Al Gore's supposed earth tones.
Liberty and justice for all.
My home
How about Obama's $1200.00
How about Obama's $1200.00 suits? I suppose that is just fine with y'all!
Who paid for them?
Unless I'm missing something, Obama's suits were purchased out of his own pocket, not with money from his party.
Nor was Obama putting on this down home aw-shucks attitude that Palin was using.
Oh,I see. Funny how the
Oh,I see. Funny how the Democrats are the most vocal about how the RNC spent money on their candidate. (BTW,I don't know any Republicans that have complained about how their money was spent on Palin's wardrobe) Nevertheless, there is no denying that $1,200.00 is an OBSCENE amount of money to spend on a suit! God forbid a conservative spends money like that.Give me a break!

Wrong julianne I guess- I was talking about Metulj's wife.
But on the main points below, you don't have a problem with RNC donors footing a $150k+ bill on Palin's clothes, but you do have a problem with Obama footing his own bill for a few $1500 suits?
Dayum, Thats some shootzpa!

Lol. Still obscene-no
Lol. Still obscene-no excuse. You don't need to wear the finest wool to do a great job. Actually, much to the chagrin and downright horror of fashionista's, a nice Brooks Brother's suit would suffice. In case y'all have forgotten most of the poor people that voted for Obama can barely even afford a suit from a dicount store. As an asside, why was what Palin wore such an issue? Why is it more acceptable for a man to wear pricey clothing during a campaign? Just thought I'd ask.
I don't care if Bush or his
I don't care if Bush or his mother spends that kind of money for a suit. The point is that it's a waste of money. Clothes don't make a man. A man can look very nice without spending what for some folks would be a mortgage payment. I am not impressed by the price of a suit, what kind of wool it's made of or how expensive the stupid buttons are. It's pretty meaningless at the end of the day. Besides, you can dress any moron up in an expensive suit but that doesn't make him any more than a dressed up moron. Have you been brainwashed by an industry?
So
I'm interested in how you feel about Palin's over $1200-a-day makeup bill?
Is that something like "besides, you can dress any moron up in expensive makeup but that doesn't make her any more than a dressed up moron. Have you been brainwashed by an industry?"
Can you take a look in the mirror? How much does you daily makeup bill cost?

As an asside,why was what
As an asside, why was what Palin wore such an issue?
It was a McCain staffer who made the remark about Wasilla hillbillies raiding Neimann-Marcus, not a Democrat or a liberal. Her spending spree was not so much an "issue" as a punch line. She tried to pass herself off as being fiscally conservative, but as soon as she got the campaign credit card, she went wild. She lied about the Bridge to Nowhere and her fiscal record, and the huge clothing bill (100X larger than the suit price you are whining about) was just another reason to laugh at her sham candidacy.
This doesn't have a thing to do with Obama, and there is no reason why he should have to live up to some arbitrary standard you set. Republican attempts to define the standards by which other people should live are one of the reasons why the party is becoming irrelevant. That kind of thing is what churches and religions do, not governments that respect the freedom of their citizens.
