This was clearly unintentional, since it was announced before the announcement of her passing, but the California GOP is suing the Obama campaign over his trip to see her a couple of weeks back.

That's probably one of the worst bits of political timing of the election, if not history.

It's too bad she couldn't hang on just a little longer. Still, she must have been terribly proud of his accomplishments.

She will be with him in spirit.

My g'mother raised me, and had a long, slow death. She was finally at peace at the end, and I have felt her presence during so many times in my life. I could so identify with Obama when he made that trip to see his g'mother last month.

And, can you image being him right now -- on the verge of being elected President of the United States and also mourning the person closest to you in the world.
