Since I've sort of become the unofficial captain of the KV debate contribution game (or drinking game if you prefer), I'm trying to decide what the key word should be for tomorrow's debate.
Right now I'm leaning toward "fight" (since that seems to be the McCain theme of the week), with "I know how to do it" as a possibility.
Neither really excites me, so I'm looking for other suggestions. Have at it.

Used that one already.
Used that one already. Besides, the format tomorrow night doesn't really lend itself to "my friends" although I suspect he'll manage to work it in a couple of times anyway.
How about any of
How about any of these:

Russ...You're trying to get
Russ...You're trying to get us plastered!
Morning (moaning) in America
Been lurking here for months and it took Rachel to coax me out with this one. How bout "That's what this campaign's all about." Alternatively, there's "The American people." Half-shots for "change" and "maverick," because we'd die of alcohol poisoning before the end of the debate if we had to do full shots every time those came up.
Can't wait til election nite when we down one every time another state goes blue (after a few of those it seems that we forget which color we're supposed to toast and end up doing shots for reds AND blues toward the end).
And then it's morning (moaning) in America.
I'm in for $50 and a shot of scotch
for each incidence of "mainstream media" or "media filter."
After this is over, we may
After this is over, we may have to have a Scotch tasting.
After this is over, we may
Or we might have to check in to the Betty Ford Clinic.
Maybe we could get a group discount.
~Russ
Don't forget the throw back
Double shots when "Reagan" is mentioned anyone?
Another $100 to the Obama
Another $100 to the Obama campaign if McCain mentions Ayres by name.
(I would bet 10 shots of tequila, but it wouldn't be prudent.)
You're on
OK, I'll match that with $100 if McCain mentions ACORN.
~Russ
Geez!
I guess I'll go ahead and make an Obama donation way beyond what I'd planned. You guys would shame me into it anyway.
And I've been hauling rocks, big rocks, at Whites Creek. next time you guys are out here, I can take you half way on the Ranger. Russ? You coming?
Russ? You coming? If there's
If there's Scotch involved, count me in.
~Russ
I'm in for another $100 to
I'm in for another $100 to Obama if McCain mentions Ayres by name. Furthermore I will give $50 if McCain clearly references Ayres but not by name ("you worked with a domestic terrorist" or something like that). I don't really drink though, so I'll pass on the shots.
Last week I made a pledge that I will donate $25 to the Obama campaign every day that a new racist or bigoted or murderous McCain-Palin supporter makes an idiot of him/herself at an event and I see it on the news. So far I have donated $25 every single day.
willing to sacrifice
For our Republican friends I want to suggest "um" and "the" and "of"
Just sips each time, though, and lock the liquor. Drink that last case of owned-by-America High Life you've been keeping in the basement fridge, chilled on the coldest ice money can buy.
If you don't have a stash of true Miller, any can that changes colors when cold will do.
I'll run out of money, but
-Capital gains tax cut
-Colin Powell
-He/Senator Obama/ThatOne voted against it
-kitchen table
Has anyone said "senior citizens"?
He's courting Florida and retirees. His tax plan favors these They are on his mind. Oh and of course the BIG one--TROOPS. He always manages to recognize them and squeeze them in somewhere. Choose your own overworn adjective to go with TROOPS.
Here's a longshot
"That One" would be the long shot. It would call for the whole bottle.
$100 if he wanders the stage lost again
He is definitely going to mention capital gains tax cut plan. He might mention ACORN, but probably not.
Final rules
Ok, I'm distilling (pun intended) this input down to:
$100 if McCain mentions Ayres by name
$50 if he mentions him, but not by name (as in "I don't care about a washed up old terrorist so much that I'll now spend the next 10 minutes talking about him")
$100 if he mentions ACORN by name
$10 for each mention of "I know how to... (capture Osama, fix the economy, etc.)"
$10 for each POW reference
$10 for every mention of how Obama will raise your taxes.
Ya'll feel free to add more; this is all I can keep up with.
Ya'll can also figure out how this translates to shots, etc. I've been fighting migraines for the last week, so will have to watch this one sober.
Steve: This format is three guys sitting around a table. If McCain does wander around the stage tonight, they may as well call the election off and go ahead and swear Obama in.
One more
Desperate times call for desperate measures. And when Hanoi John-boy McCain gets desperate he ALWAYS references his POW status one way or another.
Anyone want to do odds on such a reference?
It can be as subtle as "I know what it's like to suffer" as he's used in the past or something like "I've sacrificed for my country", another oblique reference he's used.
I say he's desperate and I'm willing to challenge. Sorry about the shots, I try to avoid drunkenness and betting against such a simpleminded man could easily get one drunk. Besides it would be a waste of great GlenFiddich to drink so irresponsibly.
