Wachovia bails out GOP

While the federal government is brokering a deal to avoid closing them and seizing their assets, Wachovia has loaned the struggling National Republican Congressional Committee $8 million. Facing South has the report on a tangled web of Wachovia/GOP involvement.

I never liked those bastards ever since 60 Minutes (IIRC) did an expose on how they got to be a huge bank by "outsmarting" the established big boys. It was by making shady but barely legal investment deals such as some in Germany which resulted in serious erosion of that country's economy. Can't remember the details, but it was something like buying city infrastructure and leasing it back at loan shark rates.

Would the Evangelical Sexpot advocate investigation of Wachovia?
