Obama Hosts Rally Sunday In Asheville
Submitted by Joe P. on Fri, 2008/10/03 - 1:35pm.
Since Asheville, NC is fairly close by to our area, I thought it worth noting that Sen. Obama will appear at a rally there this Sunday afternoon. The official campaign website has the details, and you can send in an email to "RSVP" by clicking this link.
This Sunday, October 5th, please join Barack Obama in Asheville, where he will talk about his vision for creating the kind of change we need.

Obama was campaigning in NC just a few days ago. Interesting that he's headed back there again. I had considered NC to be a second-tier tossup state pickup possibility (below VA, FL, CO, NV), Does he have a better shot than I estimated?
seems the most recent N.C. polls show them either dead even, or with a slight advantage (about 3 to 4 points) for Obama. since McCain is backing down in Michigan, it does offer opportunity to battle for votes elsewhere.

Obama is poised to take NC this election. His numbers have jumped in NC and he is really making a push here. This is the third time in like 2 weeks that he has visited the state. I went to the Greensboro Rally last week and the energy was amazing.

I'd rather be cycling.
Also, he's doing his prep for the Nashville/Belmont U debate at an undisclosed location in Asheville, so he was going to be there anyway.

obama's going after nc..labor day day i thought we were doing better in ga than nc but obama's campaign shut down in ga & is ramping it up in nc.
this late candidates only go where they are trying to win..so the internal obama polls are showing we can win in nc.
we looking good but it aint nowhere near over mccain is a strong tough candidate.

According to more polls. I believe this illustrates how big of an issue the economy is becoming.
Obama up in NC and VA . . . what's wrong with TN?

I'd rather be cycling.
