There will be a CTV "Presidential" debate on Friday October 3rd from 8:30 - 10:30pm at the City County Building, in the large assembly room. The debate is being sponsored by the 3 political shows that normally run during that time period on CTV: Politics Knoxville, the Hubert Smith Show, and Democratic TeleVision. The public is invited to attend the live production at the City County building.

Moderators for the debate will be Councilman Steve Hall, Hubert Smith, and Commissioner Mark Harmon. The Obama team will be former Senator and DNC member Bill Owen, and Gloria Johnson who is heading up the local Obama campaign. The McCain team is to be announced, but Steve Hall is expecting to have local talk radio host Lloyd Daugherty as one of the members. (Check with Steve about Lloyd and the other member.) The show will air live on CTV, and "streams" on the CTV website. It may be repeated on CTV as schedules allow.

The debate is the third that have been arranged and produced by DTV and Politics Knoxville, the others being held in 2000 and 2004 . (This should air on Comcast Channel 12 on Community Televison and possibly a few other stations in Knoxville and surrounding area, check your cable guide, or the CTV website, or just come see it live.)
