It seems Fulmer has a clause in his contract that grants an automatic extension and raise if he wins eight games. Which translates to...

Coacho Ocho*

Of course there's a website with a manifesto and t-shirts. Gotta love hard core Vol fans.

In related news, Bush is thinking about getting rid of Paulson and replacing him with soon-to-be-available Crompton because of his "awesome ability to take charge in the opponent's territory, read the field, assess the situation, and setup some great punts."

(*Not to be confused with Ocho Cinco.)

Methinks that 8 is heading for the right-hand column.

He'll be lucky to be Coacho Seis Y Seis.

ETA: Waitaminnit... so instead of hoping for a bowl bid, there's an advocacy movement that wants Fulmer to get to 8-4 so he can keep his job? Hm....

Fulmer will win 8 games if

Fulmer will win 8 games if and only if he makes a quarterback change ASAP. As much promise as Crompton showed when he started against LSU two years ago, he has regressed inexplicably under OC Dave Clawson. I have to think Nick Stephens has more upside at this point. When the defenses don't respect your ability to complete passes, you won't be able to move the ball, as evidenced by yesterday's offensive debacle.

So let's hope he keeps Crompton in...

It's time for a coaching change. Changing the QB will only put a bandaid on a large, gaping wound.

And I love that site. Just might have to have one of those shirts.

One assumes the backup QB play in practice must also be suspect. It's looking like basketball season will be a welcome relief.
