Paul Newman at the age of 83, has left us.

It's hard to give him the kudos he deserves. In my opinion, he was an honorable man.

More from Newscoma. "He was not only a great actor but he seemed like a damned decent human being."

Actor, husband, philanthropist, race car driver, and more.

Update: more from Fletch. "Paul was truly one of the greats in my book, as an actor and a human being."

And when he shall die,

And when he shall die,
take him and cut him out in little stars.
And he shall make the face of heaven so fine
that all the world will be in love with night,
and pay no worship to the garish sun.

Where do you begin

Where do you begin to name your favorites?

One of mine has to be Slap Shot (1977). He said once in a Playboy interview that he loved making that movie because he didn't have to act, he could just be himself.

And The Sting. So elegantly crafted.

The world is a little poorer with his passing.

Cool Hand Luke is on my all

Cool Hand Luke is on my all time list of movies. At or near the top. Awesome movie.

The others mentioned were also outstanding.

A friend of mine was a door

A friend of mine was a door canvasser for PIRG - she managed to get him to pay attention to her from a 2nd story window on a cold call. Wrote her a check for $10,000.
