For a while I'd heard that Chattanooga had no abortion clinic and I thought that was an urban legend until I found an East Tn. Catholic newspaper in a laundramat this week. They were announcing their 40 Days of Life event where they keep a vigil outside churches and abortion clinics. Knoxville's is on Sept. 24th. The article said that since Chatt. had been "free of an abortion clinic for 15 years" that the vigils there would be at the churches.
If you don't have a vehicle in Chatt. or in many rural areas you don't have much of a choice. I saw a documentary last year about Miss.'s last abortion clinic that was just barely in existence. The article also said they are concerned because "an abortion clinic national chain" would like to open one in Chatt.
I was disappointed that the newspaper was mostly about that and other dogmatic stuff and didn't have anything about Catholic Charities and other social justice stuff the church does. The paper even contained a comic strip called "Umbert the Unborn" !!

Culture of life becomes culture of death upon delivery

Life pretty much ends at delivery for the anti-choice crowd.
Deny healthcare (unless your rich).
Deny education (unless your rich).
Make war (but don't pay for it if your rich).
