I teach at Oak Ridge High School and am working with our Government and Civics teachers and the Oak Ridge League of Women Voters to put together a debate between representatives of the McCain and Obama campaigns, scheduled for October 15, to take place at the High School. Can anyone give me a phone number (or two) or an email address (or two) to get in touch with East Tennessee representatives of the campaigns? These teach-ins are an annual event at the High School and this year, of course we will focus on the presidential election.

Nice work, Pam. I would

Nice work, Pam.

I would suggest geting Lumpy Lambert or Scoobie Moore to debate for McCain. If Al Gore were available for Obama, that would be awesome!

(Just kidding. See Pam's serious repsonse.)

Am I the only one who is

Am I the only one who is surprised that McCain apparently doesn't have a Tennessee office?

Also in all seriousness, in

Also in all seriousness, in the 2006 cycle we went to a debate at Maryville High between students representing Ford v. Corker.

Overall, it was as good as or better than some of the actual Ford v. Corker debates.

You should consider doing one of those, too.

That would be cool. Good

That would be cool. Good suggestion, R. Neal.
