Even on Palin for VP sites, not much to recommend her. She is cute though.

This is straight from a draft Palin for Veep site! Not much to recommend even there.
"We know the vice-presidential candidate's main job is to parrot the party line laid out by the presidential candidate. But, she's at least had her own opinion up to now ...
Energy Policies
Wants to convince the rest of the nation to open up ANWAR
War in Iraq/Terrorism
Has no public stance as yet, but her oldest child (and only son) joined the Army in Fall 2007.
Immigration
No recorded stance as yet. Not exactly the biggest issue in Alaska.
Economy
Again, not much to figure out here yet.
Health Care
Opposes more federal funding for health care; is for more flexibility in federal regulations to allow for more competition.
Gay Rights and Abortion
(Normally, I wouldn't include these as - despite being a Christian - I think they have no place in a political platform. But people think they do.)
Strongly pro-life, in fact, she's a member of Feminists for life. Also against gay marriage.

In her acceptance speech she didn't name the company her husband works for (BP British Petroleum Oil). The media keeps calling him a fisherman. Kind of sleazy and sneaky if you ask me.
She's clearly going after the disaffected Hillary vote, as her praise of Hillary this morning shows. When she did that, all I could think was "pander, pander." But I'm hardly representative. Maybe it'll work.
I doubt she has 7 houses, so that helps.
She's fresh. Nobody knows anything about her. Helps and hurts, I guess.
Then there's the Alaska Republican party. Definite minus.
The McCain campaign just gave away its inexperience argument. You can't nominate someone for VP whose total experience is as mayor of a town of less than 10,000 and two years in the Alaska governor's chair and then claim Obama doesn't have enough experience.
I'm looking forward to hearing her debate foreign policy with Biden.
I've said before that I thought Obama had no perfect choices and McCain no really good ones. I'll stand by that.
Looks like Obama picked someone who can help the Obama administration and someone he can work with, and it looks like McCain picked a campaign gimmick.
A bold move to lock up Alaska's 3 electoral votes . . . .
Well played, McCain.

I'd rather be cycling.
I think his pick had more to do with securing the 65 million or so conservative/Republican/Independent/PUMA votes he got today.

I just heard this morning that her husband works for BP. Do I smell a plot to further rape almost pristine Alaska?

Well, the base likes her. She's one of them.

Comedian Limbaugh gives her two thumbs up. I wonder if he and Rove recommended her to McCain?
I heard something about her being a hunter. I hope she has better aim than you know who does.

Bad choice.
