Kroger is issuing recall advisories to customers in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Cincinnati, Dayton, Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana for ground beef with "sell by" dates of August 1 through August 16. The recall affects Kroger, Scott's, Owen's, Hilander Pay Less, and Jay C stores.

King Soopers and City Market stores have also issued recalls for 142 stores in Colorado and Wyoming.

Fred Meyer Stores advised customers at 129 stores in Oregon, Idaho, Washington and Alaska to check for ground beef packages with "sell by" dates of July 6 through August 11 and labels that read: "Lean Ground Beef Family Pack Not To Exceed 20% Fat."

Tennessee has not yet been mentioned in the recall involving 1.2 million lbs. of ground beef from Nebraska Beef, Ltd. The recall has been spreading for several days now.
