How effective is the Knox GOP delegation to the State House?

Submitted by R. Neal on Tue, 2008/07/01 - 6:31am.

According to the KNS, not very:

Three state legislators sponsored no bills that successfully passed during the 105th General Assembly. They were Reps. Stacey Campfield, R-Knoxville, Frank Niceley, R-Strawberry Plains, and Parkey Strader, R-Knoxville. All represent parts of Knox County.

According to the article, Campfield has not sponsored a single bill that passed during his entire three terms. We'll always have mixed martial arts, though.

(Unfortunately, Democrats are not running candidates in any of these districts. Guess they are satisfied with do-nothing representation.)

Hold on there Bubba!

Campfield is extremely effective and stands heads above others in being a total embarrassment to Knoxville and an example of how an idiot performs in public.

I believe I read on on

I believe I read on on Knoxviews...that Campfield readily admits he is there to stir the pot. He had advised one of his constituents to have someone else sponsor a worthwhile bill, it would have no chance coming from him.
