The Clinic is NOT saved by this!

R.Neal and Pam:

No, this is misleading. UT is still proposing to kill the entire academic program, and maintain only a vestigial piece of the clinical services - to "satisfy" the agreement.

The Hearing and Speech Center is NOT saved by this.

UT wants to turn it into some bastardized sort of private practice with NO UT student involvement or educational component. It would serve only a small number of the clients that are currently being served.

This could not be further from what the founding fathers of the program envisioned.

I encourage everyone here to continue blogging about the budget cuts, and to contact key decision makers in the process to voice your opposition to the UT proposals.
