I don't know that any person is always right about predicting the future.
That said, it's always prudent to minimize debt and not throw a lot of money at depreciating assets (consumer electronics, vehicles, and [these days] housing).

I visited the Fruit and Berry Patch in Halls last Monday. Mr. Fox told me that bag fertilizer that cost him $9 last year was now $38 a bag. He spoke of a farmer friend who had complained of enormous increases in the cost of raising his beef cattle.
I expect to soon see more scenes such as this.
