The next Blogfest is this weekend at VS a new business downtown. Meet other bloggers face to face and play video games! They have 2 Wiis, 2 xboxes, and 2 playstation 3s as well as Rockband and many many games for each system. There are 5 iMacs and wifi so you can blog. Downstairs is a congregating area away from the games with a stage which can feature live performances. Games are free to bloggers from 7pm to 9pm Saturday, May 10. VS is located just two doors down from the old Harold's. See you there!
As a side note, the wifi is free ALL the time so if you are ever downtown, needing a connection and a comfortable place to sit, slip into VS!

So, who is going?
I miss having Randy, Glenn and Helen show up at the Blogfests. Since this one is downtown and not way out west, will there be different attendees? More? Less?
I know I'm looking forward to playing some games!

Wait, when was there a Blogfest before this one?
How do you define a Blogfest?
Maybe Blogfest is the wrong word? Our blogfests have been meetups, opportunities to see the faces behind the words. Now, if you want to grow them into something bigger with a stage, hundreds of people, presenters, door prizes, and workshops, I'm in! But I still think there's a lot to be said for just getting together and having a few laughs in person. Rich has been the driving force behind the Knoxville Blogfests.

Oh no! I forgot about the audio or I would have given the standard "that's a myspace page" warning.
I think its simply a marketing move trying to gel with a certain age group of gamers. (Or it could be a horrid misunderstanding of how to market a business on the Internet)
