Passover is a Jewish and Samaritan holy day and festival commemorating the Exodus from Egypt and the liberation of the Israelites from slavery.

I miss my Jewish family on Passover

My ex-husband's family always had the warmest, most delicious, and socially relevant Passovers. The ancient stories and rituals felt amazingly connected to modern times. They live far away so I seldom get to visit, but the warm savory taste of the kugel and the kitchen gabfests are forever etched in my memory. There's nothing like the warmth of a Jewish family gathering to enjoy the Passover seder. Enjoy!

Not noble causes or abstract theories. But the right to go on living with a sense of purpose and a sense of self-worth — an ordinary life."

These brave people fought against impossible odds, but they fought.
