Overall, about 33 percent of Americans reported being very happy at age 88, versus about 24 percent of those age 18 to their early 20s. And throughout the study years, most Americans reported being very happy or pretty happy. Less than 20 percent said they were not too happy.
Another reason to look on the bright side as we age. We'll be happier! Of course, my generation, baby boomers, seem to have a little trouble letting go of our goals and ambitions which can lead to unhappiness.

Well, this gets into one of those classic research problems with a snapshot study regarding aging. Is it that we get happier as we age or is it that generations are becoming increasingly unhappy. The data are consistent with both theories. I am getting a bit cranky myself. Speaking of happy, the new Marble Slab is open in Market Square and I tested it today. Most excellent!

Thanks nine, I even crack myself up sometimes when I look at it, especially when "new" occasionally blares from the megaphone. Your mouse, cat, and spoon serves as an inspiration. But, in honor of the Bizgirl's post, the older I get the more I find amusement in the little ironic twists littering the landscape.

At 45, I just get more and more pissed off with each passing year. But I can't help it, being the smartest person on earth leaves a certain amount of vexation inevitable. ;)
But, I have no gray hair, I can still bench over 300 pounds, no ulcers, no stress.
Then again, no wife, no kids and a constant influx of great drugs would do that for just about anyone.

As we get older our expectations get lower?
I do believe so. Is that a bad thing? Not necessarily. We learn priorities?
Exceeding my expectations..Or Really Old.

I was happy to have made it to my 51st birtday Friday until they gave the senior citizen's discount at the movies. I did save $2.50 though.
Hah! Happy Birthday! Always look at the bright side.
